2 starting centre backs?

Our best defender is Carter-Vickers and vice captain. No one will be starting over him on that side..

I agree we should be targeting a left sided centre half but we'd need to try and shift Trusty or Scales. He may see getting a full pre season with Trusty as worthwhile. Then Lagerbielke, Welsh, Nawrocki have to go first..

2 centre mids ive been saying as well. But can't see 2 in if Hatate or no one else leaves. 1 tops if Hatate stays..

I think we need a starter at left centre half but are we gonna be able to shift Trusty who only signed for 6 mill and probably on good wages? I'd want Scales out long before him but can't see that either..

Can see us bringing in a right sider under Carter-Vickers but hopefully good enough to come in and play left side..

We'll deffo bring in a winger. If Kuhn goes it has to be 2..

Midfield needs an injection of a few things but can't see us doing loads there unless bodies go. I'd personally get rid of Bernardo and bring 2 in but I don't know if he'll go..

 

CCV starts but I don't trust his injury record these days. We should be signing someone on CCV's level (or better than) to partner him.

The other CB needs to be a vast improvement on Trusty and Scales, both of whom are *.

That way you have 3 good to great CB's battling it out over a 60 game season. I know that won't happen but that should be the ambition with the amount of games we play and the inevitable injuries.

Can't be dealing with another season of Scales and Trusty rotating.

 

He was operating under the assumption we'd keep all important players, meaning we'd keep Taylor. I also assume he wasn't counting 3rd stringers like Doohan and Osmand. Tierney isn't announced yet, so he's likely one of the 3.

*Here's a Rodgers quote regarding the winger vs striker dilemma:
"It's one where if we were to move him (Maeda) back on to the side and take him out of the middle, with all due respect it's probably easier for us to bring in a top winger than it would be a top striker. Seems like BR would rather have a new winger over a new striker.

 

He said that before the end of the season. He also said that he wanted to replace anyone who left.

I got the impression it was a CB, a new CM and a Striker he wanted in, as Tierney had already been confirmed.

 

I'm just talking realistic. Do you see someone bidding or us selling either of Trusty or Scales?

Rodgers clearly likes Scales more, whereas I think Trusty on his best days (i know) is miles better than Scales..

There's space for at least 1 to come in with Lagerbielke, Welsh and Nawrocki going, maybe 2. I just can't see a 6 mill signing sitting on the bench behind a Scales if we were to sign someone to partner Carter-Vickers..

I'm just looking at who I think will go and if they don't, where it leaves us..

We need better at the back, we leak silly goals too often. I want 1 centre half who doesn't melt, doesn't get bullied, is athletic and physcial, as well as competent on the ball. Someone who can attack the ball in both boxes..

I think our squad after this window will be far better than what we seen at the cup final....which won't be hard..

KT and the Fulham boy in over the likes of Schlupp and Kenny. Yang out for a better winger. McCowan down the pecking order and Bernardo out the starting lineup please *, as well as Scales. Idah to never be our main man up top..

That's about 3 starters realistically alongside KT in a striker, centre back, centre mid thats needed and 4 or 5 to beef up this squad with better quality at left back and on the wing particularly. Been saying for ages that midfield needs a real freshness and pace in there so we'll see what happens..

 

Was only joking, it’s the Celtic way isn’t it to sell players and then each window never fulfil what we need!

we needed to replace kyogo….we’ll sell Maeda and then buy 1 striker and that’ll be Maeda replaced. Completely bypassing we already didn’t replace kyogo too
