Talk about him being sold I think is nonsense. They’ll give him pre-season and next year at least. The injury really * his season after a promising start and end of season he came back into it.


i’m * certain next year, full pre-season to prepare, he’ll be getting raved about down there. We got a big fee for him but we better have also managed a sell on fee. Brighton players go for big money. He will be one being linked for that end of next season. He’s one I’ve got zero doubts about doing so.

Others have left for good money and I had doubts, * KT was one. Eddy, Moussa to Lyon and Eddy to Palace another. Last ones I was * certain about like MOR were Van Dijk and Wanyama

 

Have to agree, he was brought back into the team at the end and often started. Brighton will want to see more of him I'm certain.

 

No chance they're selling him after the injury he took this season.

As guys above, he will get preseason and at least til January.

Everton would be keen on Matt O’Riley this summer - if Brighton sanction a move - but expect to face competition from big European clubs.

There is uncertainly around the midfielder after he was an irregular part of Fabian Hurzeler’s team in his first season, in part due to an injury at the start of the campaign, while also playing out of position.

Despite this, O'Riley scored twice and assisted three times in the Premier League - and he started six out of the last eight games, with a match-winning assist against Liverpool and a penalty against Tottenham


The situation has alerted other clubs but It is not clear whether Brighton would be willing to sell at this stage, as they see him as a player that would contribute significantly next season.

Some big clubs from across Europe, notably from Serie A, have tracked him for some time and are thought to be ready to make a move if Brighton give any indication they are willing to let him go.

O'Riley only joined Brighton from Celtic last summer, having been a star player in Scotland for three seasons. He also has two caps for Denmark.

 

Atalanta are preparing a £3.25m bid as we speak.

I was having a look at yesterday’s BBC transfer rumours roundup, and it mentioned that Gazzetta are reporting that Roma have held talks with Brighton about signing him.

 

A wee percentage coming our way perhaps.

 

Napoli be some move for him..
