If we don't sign all three, then we are weaker than last season.

Wouldn't take much but he is better than bain, so happy enough if he replaces him, third choice keepers aren't going to be the greatest

Agree with above it literally does not matter who's third choice :56:Doohan, Bain or their maws it literally does not matter.
You're not going to have 3 class keepers at one club

That’s what will happen. Schmeichel made a mistake on Saturday but he’s been outstanding all season. He has more than justified his year extension.

Sinisalo is clearly the long term successor to Schmeichel. Whether he takes that step this year or the following year is dependent on how Schmeichel performs in training and matches moving forward. If, at the end of next season it’s clear Sinisalo is number 1 and KS moves on, we will likely find someone else in a similar mould to Sinisalo. A young, upcoming goalkeeper who is understudy to the number one to learn off them. I think it’s likely we eventually sell Sinisalo for big money in a few years time.

Gaining two home grown players (him & KT) is a smart move

Bains role is basically that, more in a minor coaching role than a player

Aberdeen confirming he’s been let go

So hopefully we’ll get this announced in the next few weeks

Ross Doohan joined the club in the summer of 2023, initially as an understudy to Kelle Roos, then latterly Dimitar Mitov.

The former Celtic, Ayr United and Tranmere Rovers stopper was used sparingly in his first season, turning out against Bonnyrigg Rose in the Scottish Cup before an appearance against Livingston in the season finale at Pittodrie last May.

However, he would play a much more active role in year two, admirably covering for the injured Mitov, featuring in 18 of the Dons’ 50 matches, and never letting anyone down.

To me it is why a move for Ajer if at all possible would make a lot of sense. Don’t get me wrong Ajer had deficiencies as a centre back but he had a lot going for him given the vast majority of the games we play. He could carry the ball out of defence, was a good passer, could cover at full back, and because we signed him so young he actually counts as a home grown player for Europe.

He and CCV I think could strike up a good partnership. He doesn’t seem to be a first pick at Brentford anymore. However, it’s likely we would be priced out a move.

If it could be done you would have Doohan, Ralston, Ajer, Tierney, McGregor and Forrest all club trained and McCowan league trained in the squad sign Lennon Miller and/ or Mulligan and we have our quota. Or promote someone within.

Makes sense, he’ll know coming in as 3rd choice then once Kasper goes he may have a chance as 2nd choice to Sinisalo.

Makes sense for everyone concerned and that quickly takes care of our gk situation for next season.

Ajer is a great shout and would be twice the player he was when he left us defensively

There was talk earlier this season we want that to happen. Been told of somebody certain about it, who never does this last time he did was Frimpong going to Germany before a whisper and he told me before any whisper about it. Ajer is a main target, CCV we already have agreed a deal to go. Kuhn as well already deal in place to go. The RBL stuff for Kuhn seems to be that info might be right.

I * hope the CCV bit is wrong but, and we still want to go all out for Ajer. Them two together would be perfect man

    * CCV to go?? Ajer is good but he doesn’t replace CCV’s quality and also that would mean we need 2!!! But ajer will be marketed as CCV’s replacement and we don’t get that second starting centre half :31:

not too fussed on Kuhn going, he’s been good but I think he’s been worked out by teams in our own league now.
