crosas definite starter?

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by We named the dog Indiana, Sep 13, 2008.

  1. 1st time I've seen him in the Hoops, he looks really good for 20 years, but will need to get used to the pace of the SPL.

WGS will hopefully give him more games & eventually he'll be a starter for sure.

Not even Boruc should be a definite starter.

thought he looked composed on the ball, his passing ability looks very good, against Falkirk also.

but i think his work rate and bravery look a bit *, could be wrong, but sometimes defensively he didn't look bothered, and didn't really commit fully to tackles.

but i want to see him be a hit here, and i want to see him start.

he should probably play on wednesday, naka and mcgeady should replace brown and robson.

Boruc should be a definite starter, the thing is, Boruc himself shouldn't think/know that.

I think that is a more realistic summary. I love the way he passes so well and 80% of them are forward ones. However, he looked lighweight when we were under pressure and you could see a hole in front of the defence. I certainly wouldnt play him in a CL match till we have seen him in some more tough SPL games. On wedensday, I would like to see a Brown-Robson CM. Think Hartley will be back though. Have no problem with that though as he has been essential in the CL.

tbh i think boruc himself does know that.
a blind guy could see the diffrence between brown and boruc.

After one game he looks really good to me. He has more to offer than Hartley imo.

    YES,
this lad will get fitter with every game.

Anybody can see the lad has a touch of class about him.

he needs time to settle, and we need time to judge. scotland is a whole lot differnt from spain wonder will he adjust to life there.

i missed the game as i was busy getting ready to move house.

    where did he play?

as for Hartley, he offers us another option than what Crosas can. i would imagine that Crosas would be a deep lying playmaker (the Pirlo or Sneijder role). where as Hartley is a workhorse defensive mid who protects the back four. tbh its nice to have these options for different opponents and different scenarios.

Maybe, but then I cant see Wednesdays game being anywhere near the same frantic pace as yesterdays game, so maybe that will suit him better.

I expect us (hopefully) to dominate for long spells, so I think he's the kind of guy that can keep the play flowing and spray the passes around a lot quicker and more accurate than Hartley.

Think Crosas maybe has a bit more to give in terms of elegance and guile than Hartley, but un Europe, I'd much rather see Pual Hartley getting stuck in to the other teams, especially away from home.
Hartley never chucks the towel in and even if he goes off after 70 minutes he's already put in a shift. Hartley before Crosas on wednesday

Aye and jan also..even though sammy should start again untill he makes a booboo then put jan on till he makes a booboo and so forth. (that goes for all the team)
