I’m surprised we don’t have Yvette Fielding sitting on the bench next to the Japanese & Korean translators for when we need to get in contact with him. There was a point where I saw him wandering about and realised that I had forgotten he was even on the pitch. To say he was anonymous is generous, he had zero presence whatsoever today. We genuinely could've been playing with 10 men and not noticed any difference.

Should he have been subbed? Given the way the game was trending and the state of our bench, arguably not, but he done next to nothing on his entire time on the pitch to make a positive case in his favour. It ain’t exactly encouraging when your best argument for not being subbed off is that you’re maybe the least bad option.

His goal return this season is pretty good, but there’s too many games where he just wanders around doing nothing. He’s not dragging defenders or making a nuisance of himself, he’s just meekly wandering around. He’s not alone in it, but this passive, can’t be arsed, or shrinking violet-type attitudes is * endemic in our squad and kills us when the going gets tough and we need someone to stamp their authority on the game.

 

Big summer incoming, along with a few others needs to knuckle down and find the mentality to make it here. Backed him from the start but now feels it's in the balance.

I moreso meant with how lightweight our bench was. For me, as poor as he was, he should have stayed on the 90, with Forrest coming on for Kuhn and Kenny coming on at ET.

Guy is a waste of space. Long since given up on him. The nature of the league we are in means he will always chip in with the odd goal here and there but I think he offers nothing.

 

Don't think he has the mentality to ever be a consistent striker for us.. I was just hoping he could string a few months together and the club had to cop on to take anything above 5/6mil for him this summer..we are stuck with him and he can't be trusted with Maeda having to cover for jotas absence next season

Admittedly I'm less confident now than I was that he'll find the consistency, but I ain't throwing in the towel yet. He'* some unbelievable heights over his year and a half so am always willing to give players plenty time to adapt to the expectations we have.

 

Should probably have stayed on because the state this club has left our squad in.

But he’s just pish. I actually had a feeling he’d turn it on today as well. Should have known better.

Simply cannot start regularly for us next season. Would happily punt for even half the fee we paid.

 

Move him on and cut our losses.

 

He wasn't very good but Rodgers should have left him on.

The slow build up kills any opportunity for his movement. We need to get him more service and balls into the box earlier. It was similar with what we saw with Kyogo.
Maeda almost managed to but his cut back was behind Idah.

 

I agree he should do more but I also feel for him a bit. We have a big striker up front but every ball get fired into feet. Mix it up a bit and give him something to attack

 

Sell him and get DD to bank roll a loan for Ferguson for a year

 

Genuinely think Ferguson would just be a like for like, don’t think there would be much difference in their effectiveness in our league
