2 year manager at best, next season will not be a good watch, look what happened with Leicester.

Worrying thing is his record when it comes to transfers is * tragic.

Wouldn’t trust him at all to fix the problems in the squad.

The thing that's noticeable as well is he's only dealt with hun teams that have been utter *. I probably wouldn't fancy him to deal with their europa league final team or the team Lennon won 9 in a row against.

I don't think it's unfair to suggest he's never faced a real challenge. Granted you can only beat whats in front of you.

Interesting choice to put Schlupp into the midfield.

Sadly, this will have damaged Brendan's legacy and ego.The treble should have been a formality, after scudding the Dons in the last two games.

Worse possible timing too, with the Huns having an incoming, new manager and new investment in their club. I wonder if he will start getting restless feet again.?

First of all congratulations to Aberdeen, it’s healthy for the game to have other clubs winning things and the income they’ll get from Europe.

Saying that, I don’t think a single player on either team today gets pass marks. A dreadful advert for our game.

On Rodgers, I have a wee bit of wisdom (or is it ‘philosophy’ they like to call it these days): you can’t score in possession.

Eventually you need to take a risk, you need to release the ball.

His team needs to be getting off far more shots from here on and far more crosses into the box.

Yes it’ll be turned over far more, but it will also cause more mistakes - and require more reaction - by opposition sitting in.

You can talk all you want about lack of quality or depth in certain positions, who he should sign or move on, or how much budget he should get. But for me, until he’s willing to free his players to take more risk on the ball the personnel is a secondary question.

    Can't be trusted to rebuild.

Fine working with squad that already in place.

Has been same throughout his career.

Given him money again this summer would show a real lack of knowledge from our board so id expect him to be given about £40m because our board are so far out of touch

Thing is if he stays and gets no money we are going to be watching that all season long with what he has.

which will be grim and completely pointless. So either the club backs him further or replaces him.

He put Taylor into midfield and Schlupp into left back.

I would have done the reverse tbh.

Has allowed this type of performance too many times. Up to the manager to get the team motivated and playing with intensity

We really require a reset, of players tactics and structure alike.

Good managers adapt their tactics to different aspects of teams and Rodgers is failing miserably at it.

    Not even surprised by today...

However next season is a big worry, its a season where we need to get things right or the cost could be a hun equaliser.

Sinisalo needs to be No:1 as Kasper simply no longer good enough.

Idah can be nothing but a sub striker, we need a big athletic bulldozer who can bang them in left right and head...a Dembele type.

Centre mid is a shambles, Calmac should not be playing as a 6, Bernardo is a sub at best, Engels is chronically bad, Mc Cowan won the lottery to be here, Hatate hot and cold also lightweight.

I'd actually argue we need a change in formation, Perhaps with 2 up top when we need to launch it in to beat the low block.

There is so much wrong I could go on and on and on but it's pointless.

Will just have to hope we see Rodgers being more adaptable to who we are facing and also better signings as we've begun to spend good money on utter * and that's unsustainable.

Brendan Rodgers has admitted his disappointment as Celtic missed out on a treble with their penalty shootout defeat to Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup final – but urged his players to remember the successes they enjoyed this season.

After a 1-1 draw in regulation time at Hampden, and a goal-less period of extra time, Aberdeen were 4-3 winners in the shootout. Callum McGregor and Alistair Johnston saw their penalties saved by Dimitar Mitov and the holders saw their hopes of a clean sweep of domestic trophies fade away.

“Clearly we are very disappointed,” Celtic boss Rodgers said after the game. “We didn’t play anywhere near the standard needed to playing against Aberdeen and congratulations to them.

“It’s great for them but we can have no complaints. We didn’t do enough in the game.”

Celtic had been hoping for a ninth domestic treble but still finish the season as League Cup winners and Premiership champions, with memories of progress to the Champions League knock-out rounds to enjoy as well.

Rodgers said he wanted his players to take time to process the pain of missing out on the treble but also to remember what they have achieved.

“I said to the players that if you look at this game in isolation, we didn’t play to our standard and our levels,” he said.

So that’s a disappointment. But we can’t blame anyone but ourselves.

“The bigger picture is that we’ve won two out of three domestic trophies and progressed in Europe.

“Now is the time to go away with our families, because they will need them and it’s important that they have that time to reflect.

“After a few weeks they will realise that, okay they missed a chance today to win three trophies, but still they have been consistently very good over the course of the season.

“They’ll come back remotivated and they’ll renew that motivation in the summer.”

Right? It’s wild how quickly opinions change.

Rodgers is the absolute best manager we have had in the last decade and this season took us forward in Europe, something we haven’t seen in years. He hasn’t won another treble this year but if it was that easy we would have invincible seasons and treble winning seasons every year. He’s not perfect or, let’s be honest, he wouldn’t be here but he deserves a lot more respect than he’s being given. I think if we hadn’t had Ange for the past two seasons people would be a lot more inclined to accept his style of football but the transition from all out attack to this has been one that’s hard to take.
Also take into consideration the amount of games the team have had to play we played two games a week for the longest time and managed to pull results out the bag the majority of the time. The drop off has really come post CL hangover when the league has already been won. That’s not to say changes aren’t needed but a bit of perspective would be good.

Congratulations? On setting up with 11 men behind the ball?

    * Them...* pathetic tactics by anyone...

Us being * and the inability to break them down made it one of the worst finals ever seen.

His subs were * grim, lost the game. Calls for him to go are way ott however in my opinion but the squad needs a lot of work in the summer.

What’s his record against imploding hun teams cause they’ve been imploding for the last decade?
