Brilliant tonight, apart from the goal involvements he got the * kicked out of him and didn't shirk anything.

How many goals and assists for the season?
I’d say it’s very good for his position and minutes he’s played.
Looking forward to seeing him after a full preseason with us.

7 goals and 9 assists for us. 10 goals and 15 assists for the season as a whole, if you include his early Dundee stats. He's getting a goal or assist every 90 mins

For comparison domestically ( for balance since McCowan barely played in Europe and it makes everyones stats look worse):

    McCowan - 7 goals and 9 assists - 1 per 88 mins
    Hatate - 10 goals and 7 assist - 1 every 180 mins
    Englels - 9 goals and 10 assists - 1 every 137 mins
    McGregor - 10 goals and 3 assists - 1 every 271 mins
    Bernardo - 4 goals and 3 assists- 1 every 212 mins

Obviously McGregor and Hatate in particular add alot more but still impressive how far McCowan is ahead

He's been a fantastic signing for £1 million, and i think he still has another level to go up.

Class midweek but stunk the gaff out today. As said above, for a million pound though, he has been a very good signing. Just an off day today.

I actually think he's been poor more than he's been good..

Gives it away far too much to be a regular Celtic centre mid, which is why he never will be. Doesn't have the legs and too weak as well..

Is a decent player who can pick a pass, cross and the odd dig..

Think he’ll only ever be a back up player for us, but that’s a pretty good thing to be.

This is mad to me, I think he’s probably got similar stats to Hatate in the giving the ball away or chances regard. Not as good at all aye obviously, but he’s in and out not playing consistently and I think they two one or the other has the role to take a chance with a pass. Ok to lose it if it doesn’t work. Nobody else in the team has that unless Calmac feels he needs to step up and do it instead but that’s his decision. The risky passes, the creativity sort of balls.

When McCowan has played with Hatate, Hatate is far more conservative.

There is not a single chance for me anyone can make the argument for being more poor games than good though, he’s had 3 that I remember. One of them was we tried him at right wing and he’s not a winger even if he started as one.

He’s rarely been poor, sometimes been average mostly when he’s played we’ve seen him make a difference. We’ve brought him in and out used him sporadically and inconsistently and it’s not really effected what he’s done when he’s came on. Him being poorer than he has been good? I can’t begin to understand seeing that with him.

He’s an incredible addition to the squad. at times this year, mind Hatate at his poorest somepoints first half this season? Sure he set up 3 goals one game McCowan then dropped. Then 2/3 weeks later seen him again and he kept up the level. That’s to his credit. My only criticism for him is he needs to not just be happy to be here, when he sets up 3, MotM and then is dropped I want him to have the attitude to say wait a minute naw, and keep up why he shouldn’t have been when he chaps the door.

Bernardo I say that about as well, not in a happy to be here way like McCowan. He’s a top pro way that when he is on fire and gets dropped he’ll be no issue to do that to,

    Can't complain at £1m.

What were people realistically expecting? He comes in and contributes most times when asked. Aye he isn't gonna be a standout at European level or in the big games. But you need players like him.

His assist for Valle was my goal of the season.
