Expect the Vardy rumours to resurface now he's just announced he's leaving Leicester..

I don't think it would happen, as he will probably go to Saudi or MLS, but I'd take him in a New York minute.

There aren't many that I'd take at 38 from English football, but he's one guy that would be unaffected by all coming from the EPL and the media bullshit about our league and standard etc.

I said at the time in 2016 just after he lifted the league trophy, he should've went to Real Madrid or a Bayern. Would have torn it up.

He'll still bang them in wherever he ends up. Fabulous striker.

No doubt Vardy would smash it here for a season or two, but I would like to go younger for our 2nd/3rd choice.

Almost immediately happened that. I asked my mate if he’d be happy with it before I’d seen a link as well.

I would be happy with it but only depending on other business. If we get someone like Kvistgardeen, adapt RW or up top, Maeda LW or the middle, Idah and then the experience option that we can rely on with Vardy. I’ll be very happy.

If we don’t get that RW/ST sort, and just Vardy I’d not.

3rd choice sporadic option I think we can’t have a promising youngster, they don’t play enough to develop. Experienced pro to step in though? That’s perfect

Only reason I'd take him is to give Idah someone to learn from, his experience playing lone striker would be a great asset for us in that regard.

Vardy was a different type of striker. Idah needs someone like Ante Budimir as a mentor.

The skills needed to play the position are still consistent even if the style isn't. Triggers when to run front post, drop back, move between defenders etc are all things that strikers need whether slow, fast, big, small.

KDS mod saying we’re close to signing Brownhill from Burnley on a free. He’d be an exceptional signing.

29, captain at Burnley, versatile, and has 18 goals and 6 assists this season.

Very similar profile to every other midfielder we have.

    Not required.

Fatboab is the mod. He's usually very reliable. Said we are for down the line on Brownhill.

If by similar profile you mean ''box to box'', we can never have enough versatile players.

I don’t really disagree, but if the plan is for a big reshuffle this Summer and we plan on moving some on.. Brownhill would be a good replacement.

Midfield options of McGregor, Brownhill, Engels, a creative midfielder, athletic 6 with McCowan as a backup option. Bernardo/Hatate moving on.
