I can see why fans of any club would be miffed about giving an away side 3 stands of their ground but at the same time the fans complaining are probably the ones who would never bother their * to go to a game and then moan about the fact they have no money to invest the squad.

Makes total financial sense for a club whose attendances are horrific week to week and have the threat of relegation looming over them. Could be their last decent pay day for some time.

Pragmatism over pride, I suppose... They'd have been outnumbered and outsang anyway, so may as well take the positives of the situation... I'd bet half the people complaining aren't even real Saints fans anyway, if at all...

Agree, it's a poor look for our game, right enough, but it'd be foolish to let that stop the common sense from being applied

It does make a fair difference as was noticeable when we played them in a friendly this year to mark the opening of the stand.

It's a * look for the league either way but it's the smart decision. Especially given they are likely to be relegated, this may be their biggest league game pay day for quite a while. The extra income from this game alone could pay for quite a few support staff to stay in jobs next season which otherwise may be at risk. That's reason enough.

Again, * or not than an empty stadium on a nationally broadcasted game?

The empty stadium is a much, much, worse look for Scottish football.

Yeah I agree. It's always better to fill a stadium than not

Fair play to them because it would be pointless if they left all that money on the table.
