As it stands, this is a terrible transfer window.

Jota is amazing to get back, but when you had to give up Kyogo to make it happen, it takes away from the excitement of believing the squad was getting stronger for it.
Positionally, left wing is solid, as an attacking 3 though, we are weaker.

How we can now be weaker in both ST and LB is baffling.
And it looks likely we won't strengthen either of them this window.

I doubt a left back will be signed. Rightly or wrongly, the club won't want to shut the door on GT. Signing a perm LB while also announcing KT would be the door firmly shut on GT and what will be his motivation for the rest of the season? So don't expect a left back at all and expect them to give GT all the time in the world.

Got what 3 and half days left mate. Is what it is. I have no doubt we have been * around with agents/clubs/players. Brendan might say more today. Wouldn't be first time we have thought players where in bag for a last minute U turn,

Arsenal have formally advised KT that they’re not triggering his contract extension. KT has subsequently formally signed a pre-contract at Celtic.

Neither of those things will change. The only question is whether we can force through a deal with Arsenal to get him in this month; which they’re playing hardball over. KT wants paid (at least the majority of) his remaining Arsenal contract; Arsenal don’t want to have to pay to get rid of someone who has featured quite regularly for them recently; and Celtic don’t want to pay £3m+ for effectively a 5 month rental.

3.5 days, yet the windows been open for 4.5weeks!

I totally get that it's a quiet window and the feeling across Europe was clubs waiting for the final UCL and Europa games to play out.
But when we are chasing (rumours to be believed) guys who aren't even involved in European competitions, then there is zero use for that excuse.
More so when we * well sold out best striker in two decades before we finished our own campaign.

Over on KDS they are surmising that the possible loan striker we are looking to bring in would be a shock but not in a good way. Hope to * we get some positive news soon, all got a bit deflated the last couple of days.

Arsenal have blocked Kieran Tierney from joining Celtic during January and the 27-year-old Scotland defender will stay at the Premier League club for the final six months of his contract to be part of their title push before returning to the Scottish champions in the summer.

Celtic are looking at alternative left-back options as they believe Kieran Tierney will stay at Arsenal until the summer and will now enter the market for a player on loan until the end of the season.

Sarpsborg have rejected Celtic's opening bid of £4.6m for winger Sondre Orjasaeter, but negotiations are continuing, with the Norwegian club valuing the 21-year-old at £7m.

Olympiakos are in talks about taking 25-year-old Celtic winger Luis Palma on loan but are hoping to persuade his parent club that an option to buy for £3.3m in the summer is not mandatory.

Ooof, we'll be lucky to get a year out of the big man

 

So we've sold kyogo for 10m and berna for 5m and looks like Palma for about 2.5m ..we've brought in Jota for 8m ...so we've more or less still got the kyogo money sitting there beside the * load of doe in the bank yet even though they've known kyogo was going we still haven't replaced him. 4 weeks the window has been open and we're still non the wiser if anyone is coming in...did the bench against villa not * worry these guys.

Dude, we've known we needed a left back for about 4 years and we've never actually addressed it properly.

There's a plan somewhere deep inside the club, one that involves spending as little as possible it would seem.
Perhaps we are waiting on Édouard to be a free agent again for a striker.
