I prefer and appreciate this Forrest much more than I've ever done throughout even his best days..

Just so so clever and composed now. Whenever he comes on you know you're getting guy who isn't gonna let you down whatsoever..

 

I actually think now he’s more effective than he ever was. He’s so much smarter now than he was when he was younger

 

Could not believe he never stepped up for that last penalty yesterday, thought it was a certainty. He'll get his goal though at some point.

25 honours, equal with the great Bobby Lennox. * crazy man.

 

Just seen a stat that said he’s only 7 club medals short behind messi’s record too. Which he still has 2 to play for this season! Give him a 10 year contract and see in the 10

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed James Forrest is likely to be out injured for "probably six weeks" following a knock during last weekend's Scottish League Cup final win.


Forrest was seen after the match wearing a protective boot, with the player himself admitting he was forced to carry on regardless, given his side had used all of their substitutes by that stage in the game.

Speaking ahead of Celtic's league trip to Dundee United this Sunday, the Celtic manager said: "James will probably be [out for] six weeks. He had a real bad blow on the game and to be fair for him to carry on, he showed great courage to do that.

"Sadly, we will miss him for up to that length of time."

 

Gutting. Really need a winger now in January

 

Winger is utterly essential in Jan now.

 

We've always needed a winger in January regardless.

But I've never understood the clamour for a new signing when someone is injured for a few weeks. By the time we fwt a new player here and settled, Jamesy will be back. If he was out for like 4 months then sure, but not 6 weeks.

 

Good chance now for Forrest to get a well deserved winter break rest. Gives Yang a chance to shine again, and I am sure he will take the opportunity. Then sign Michel Ange Balikwisha in January and we will be brand new again.

 

Yang and even Palma will get some chances now..

2 wingers needed I feel though.

 

Really disappointing for Forrest who has had some really good appearances off the bench lately. Hurts our depth heading into this really busy christmas and new years period. Yang will get some more chances I would imagine and Palma maybe.

 

I'm happy with 1 honestly, I think Forrest is still effective and I've not totally lost hope on Yang doing something.
