I think signing McCowan is simply squad management for Europe. Get Iwata or Holm out the door, either on loan or permanent depending on if we think they have potential (Holm?). Replace with McCowan. In that move we slightly improve the quality of the squad and we fill a homegrown spot in the team. It’s a smart move. I also happen to think he’s a quality little player who will surprise a lot of folk when he’s called up. If this happens that is.

Some people just see “Dundee” and think naaaaaah no way. This guy is a player.

Also, for what it’s worth, he’s better than Conor Barron.

Hope you're right mate! I'm assuming we won't bring another midfielder in if he arrives, that's my only disappointment. But if we get a quality winger in as well as McCowan I'll probably feel better about the signing.

No brainer this one, of the best scottish players in the league, sign him up celtic!

  11. I'll be surprised if he isn't added going by Brendan's comments there..

If it isn't McCowan then maybe a Miller or something but very likely the former..

Must be honest i don't know anything about him lol, canny even mind seeing him play, by all accounts would be a good addition, can see this getting done later today.

Can cross, can finish, can beat a man, composed in tight spaces, can hit a corner, free kick and penalty. Knows how to dictate the pace of a game like our Cal. Celtic fan to boot. I don’t see anything wrong with this signing personally. He’s the best player in Scotland outside Glasgow for me.

  14. I tend to agree.

Shankland plays out wide for Hearts as well at times :fear:

Would fit the homegrown rota and the flexibility BR is looking for.

  16. He would deffo keep the tempo up coming on later in games/filling in for the big hitters..

Seems to be one of the most improved late developers going by his reels. I wasn't keen on him before..

    I don't mind this one..

As long as others still come in..

    * it. It's deadline day and we're loaded and he's home grown. Get it done.

Happy with this. Just because he's a late bloomer, it doesn't mean he isn't good enough. I think he'll be a successful signing. Bring him home.
