Up to him to take the jersey, IF he shows he's better than Taylor.

 

If he was to start on Sunday it would be a very promising sign. He would need to look amazing in training to shunt Taylor that quickly. Fully expect Taylor to start.

 

Taylor will start but wouldn't be against Valle going straight in.

 

He won't start on Sunday, but he'll be a starter from after the international break.

Possibly... but Taylor has had the luxury of pretty much being the auto first pick, purely due to being the only really recognized senior LB, and think that has seen his standards slip. When he has been in his best form it has always been when he has had competition for his place.

Ange brought in Bernabei, and just having that presence saw GT have to step up his game to fight off the challenge, which he did, and as Bernabei faded to the fringes of the squad again and ultimately went out on loan, GT has again let those standards slip, so if bringing in this guy lights a fire under GT to pull up his socks, then so be it. Personally, I don't care which one plays at LB, whether it is GT or AV, so long as the standard is improved.

 

I would be shocked if Taylor didn't start Sunday after that well we will see. At least there is some competition/cover there now at left back.

No way Valle starts on Sunday, but I do expect him to take Taylor's place after that. He's a proper talent and exactly the profile Rodgers loves.

 

Just hope Taylor doesn't snap Valle in half during training.

I’d be more tempted with Engels, purely because he has more experience and will be our record signing.

Assuming both will be on the bench, though.
