Disagree. Edouard 3 years younger, with a broader skillset, and arguably needs fewer chances to score than Kyogo.

2 years left on his deal. Loan with option, year left when his loan ends, can get him for a cut price fee.

 

I think he’s a confidence player who needs to be happy in order to do well.

He was poor by his standards in his final season and early under Ange. He was poor at Palace as things have went on.

I feel like he doesn’t do it intentionally, or “down tools”, but is just inconsistent if he’s not in a good head space.

Him coming back and working under Rodgers again could be exactly what he needs and at his best; he’s brilliant. I wouldn’t take him over Kyogo though.. but a strike force of Kyogo, Eddy and Idah would be frightening and allow us to change shape regularly, something Rodgers spoke about doing in his first spell with Dembele and Eddy.

 

I think it’s only a year left with a years option so it would depend if Palace want to take the change of activating that and having to pay him the £70k a week.

And has all the technique and finesse of a cow with a gun.

Edouard ~ Kyogo (at least).

 

Maybe means a shift of formation to... 2 up front! Bringing back the old school 4-4-2. Let it happen.

 

Edouard plays over Idah if we brought him in.

And we don't sign second or third choice strikers for £9m.

Idea will be Idah rotates with Kyogo this season. No chance Edouard comes back, absolutely no chance.

Also never heard of the reporter or his outlet whose reporting it.

If it’s per game, that’s not evidence of finishing efficiency in and of itself. There are too many other factors to take into account.

Would be coming back up here, drained of ambition thinking he's going to stroll it with the pipe and slippers on.
Would end up like Balde / McArthy and be sat on a fat contract before going to Saudi or similar.

 

More just from watching him for Palace through the years and his last season at us where he seems disinterested and lacking that hunger the he seemed to have when he first came to us.

He doesn't press and can go through the motions at times - don't see what the motivation would be for him coming back here. Unless it's purely to work with Rodgers again - which is probably the best argument you could make for signing him.
