  1. Defo an upgrade to GT. but would be scared going into derby games with him. He easily loses his cool on a pitch.

  2. Pass after hearing the above

Sounds like a hun type player

  3. Am I missing something or have a poor translation? On the page you're linking too they're calling him a wimp that can't defend and lacks intensity.

  4. Sounds promising.

I think you need a bit of controlled aggression in your game going into derby matches. One red card and one yellow last season, not too bad.

    Eleven caps for his country.

  7. Going by those ajax boards.... Im afraid its a pass.

By their account, hes a mess defensively, is known to fly off the handle, and is "weak".

I know fans are quick to * on their own players who are underperforming, and ajax fans are basically the Sevco fans Of Holland, but there are too many variables here.

  8. Thank * we don’t sign guys based on a fan forum, * how often do you disagree with our fans on here?

I’ve only seen a very small amount, a game or three spread between AZ, Ajax and a cap for the Dutch national team if it’s the right guy I’m thinking of he’s exactly the type we should go for- he’s technically good, big and physical, quick and good both ends of the pitch. He’s a good age, and had his career stall a wee bit after it looking like it’d be going to greater heights moving to Ajax, playing for the national team and not quite worked.

That’s guys we should look at if they have the right mindset, a lot of talent, a desire to prove themselves and have a bit of pedigree at a young age. We’re seeing that we can get rewarded for giving that chance with Kuhn just now, early days still tbf but the signs are there.

Wijnal is like that but actually made it for a while before stalling, capitalising on that promise, if we can get him we should be all over it. Ajax fans on the internets opinion or not.

Remember several fan forums with CCV before we got him being critical of him, sure he was labelled small and weak on a Bournemouth one

Big and Physical? He's 5 foot 9 and looks like a skinny *:56:

Described as weak and bad at defending, decent going forward... it's a Dutch Travpen

He lasted one season at Ajax before being bombed out and was labeled one of their biggest flops.. apparently has a Billy big baws complex and even last year on loan at antwerp he was apparently *..

This is coming from not just fan forums but scouts and people that have watched him far more than you or me...

Now I'm not going to judge him as I've seen * all of him but he doesn't sound ideal..

On the other hand he's not Greg Taylor so sign him up

I think it's got to the stage we'd take anyone as long as he has a left foot..

What's Christy Brown up ta these days?

  11. Lucky I’m no a scout as well… cos it’s definitely not this guy I’m thinking of then. Big fast LB, 6’1, 6’2 sure he was at Ajax at somepoint:56:

General point outwith my own scouting report stands though, he’s the type of profile I like capped for a good national team, already gained a lot of experience with AZ then its just not worked at Ajax. Type of * that when he went to Ajax would be beyond us, still a good age to rebound from that with the right attitude- that last bit is key. And if during negotiations you get a whiff of anything but that attitude to make it and determination then pull out the deal.

There’s a million examples of promising footballers hitting a stumbling block eearly twenties and then still going on to be great players.

But I wouldn’t say yay or nay to this one based off random Ajax fans on the internet. We’d no have a team at all if we judged our own guys like that :56:

Yeah I get where your coming from with fan forums, one bad game for Celtic and you're done on here ha but it seems to be more than just Ajax forums.. Ajax fans are absolute * too so wouldn't judge him too much on that either.

It's just when I hear weak and bad at defending it puts the * up me regarding a defender.

Anyway look if BR wants him we got to trust him.. its only a rumour anyway.

Maybe a loan with option to buy would be the way for this one.. see if it is just a blip in his career or he is in fact a bawbag

  13. Aye and weak in the Dutch league is not the same as weak in the SPFL.

You mentioned scout reports saying he’s an * billy big baws type up there btw, is that for real? Where did you see that :56:?

loan with an option if he’s the main guy we want aye definitely, if it’s too have a look at and judge him * that. Go for one we’re * convinced will make us better and not have Greg Taylor show him up. From the sounds of this guy from what you’re saying he’s a Braafheid sort though, so * that. He’s the right profile I want but it absolutely needs the right attitude along with it or its throwing money away

Twatter where else.. :56:account had over 1 million followers and seemed to know his * bout Ajax.. apparently the Ajax scouts advised against buying him. Ajax did sign that donkey from the huns for around 20 million so maybe their scouts are as bad as ours haha

I'd imagine the billy big baws comes from this... claiming he's the best left back in Holland

  16. Weird as * that Bassey to Ajax transfer, signed him off the back of being a physical as * workhorse full back.

Tried to make him a ball playing CB like De Ligt’s replacement :56:

Ajax are a basket case of a club the last few years, was some of their board not getting the jail? Think Van Der Saar was also the main man scouting wise, and he had a brain bleed lr something like that.

Think they aspire to be just * like ours are. Weird from them, always been exceptional at it as well.

  17. He performed well for Antwerp on loan last season and their manager confirmed they couldn’t afford the purchase option, given their financial situation.

The stinking attitude stems from the issues at Ajax, where he just didn’t make the most of the move. However, Ajax are going through a mad transition the now and they’re actually in a bit of a financial mess themselves. Think it also stems from a previous interview he does at AZ, as a young man, where he suggested he was the best left back in the league. Statistically, it was true that season. I’m sure he’s learned to curb that behaviour after a disappointing season with Ajax. Don’t know where the hot head allegations come from. From what I can see, he’s only had one red card his whole career, which was last season.

11 international caps in his career for someone like the Netherlands. We had some on here preaching we needed to sign Bernardo based on him being an u21 Portugal player. With the way we play, the way Rodgers sets us up and his skills as a coach, we could get a Wijndal who was incredible at AZ.

  18. That’s actually pretty good I think, cemented first choice LB for the Dutch team, says he thinks he deserves it and is the best LB they have. Don’t mind that at all.

Don’t mind confidence and swagger, rest of the interview he’s praising others and gushing over Overmars talking about him and how great he is. Not disrespectful or anything.

Yeah they were abysmal last season.

I see they beat Panathinaikos in Europe 13-12 on pens... maybe we could get their penalty taking coach

Fair enough... again I know eff all about him other than what I've read which didn't seem great. As I said if BR wants him that's good enough for me
