The manager wanted Idah and the club have backed the manager significantly in this situation.

 

A huge statement with that fee. Now go do the same with other positions needing strengthening and take us to another level.

 

Yeah I'm happy about that . Not every situation is a binary good or bad . There's still a lot to question about this deal though.

 

People caring about the fee are the same people that complain we don't spend enough.

Yes we're overpaying, but considering we typically hoard money over numerous transfer windows, who cares? Is he the ST Rodgers wanted? If so then I'm delighted we finally got him.

We literally got £4.5 million for OH and £3 million for Lawal, let's stop pretending that's the standard fee going forward.

 

Glad it's finally almost done (again). Bit more than I thought we'd pay so fair * to the money guys for getting in the player the manager wants, We need to be barreling on at some speed with transfers now the rest of the window and fill the other problem spots, LB and CB especially.

Cant be spending weeks on one signing either now the window is in it's latter stagers..

 

To be honest I’m not arsed about the fee, we’ve sold Jota for 25 before and absolutely shat a lot of that money away on players who were struggling to get rid of now … at least we know Adam will contribute well in the first team.

Absolutely insane fee but we seriously need options up front and he's proven in the league already.

 

Massively inflated fee. Norwich have played an absolute blinder here. They know we're desperate and don't have any other targets. I kinda called it 11 days ago:

Listen I'm glad he's here and we're finally spending money but can't help but feel a large chunk of it has been spunked in the wrong direction. Idah had some good moments last year, but there's nothing to suggest he's worth that much.

The saving grace with this sort of fee is that they might be willing to push the boat out on other key areas and pay similar prices. If we're paying this much for Idah, there's no reason why we can't spend £9m on a LCB, LB and CM. It should be demanded/expected now.

Probably fantasy thinking though, as we seem to be obsessed with the "try before you buy" approach.

 

Glad it's done. This is the kind of fee you need to pay for a player like Idah, simple as that.

Will wager him being our top scorer this season.
