Disagree. Our business model is not designed to stockpile money. It's there to allow us to ensure we are financially stable. We are more than stable now. O'Riley has made no indication he wants to move. His value after another season with CL football will only increase. The club should be building the side around him.

Your right about the second part. Not a chance that money will be invested. To have so much money on the bank and going into another season in Europe weaker than last season is criminal.

What's more mental is we are going into the new champions league format where we are finally going to get 4 games of very winnable ties! Pot 4 and 3 and always the ties we've got a chance with. Yet we're weakening? I'm trying to keep calm. I know we do our best business near the end. Ccv etc. So I'm reserving full judgment until then. If however we do end up weaker then it's time to * riot.

Well if he does go I think he goes with everyone’s blessing to be fair.

as long as it’s a record transfer and the money is re-invested…… tried to type that without laughing I couldn’t.

Honestly think we will stoke-pile nearly all of it.

Bernardo will be promoted to O'Rileys slot. No disrespect but he is a downgrade and wasn't able to cement a shirt last season.

I think we all feel he has been a top servant. Hope he stays but won't begrudge him his move when it happens.

Why do people do this to themselves? Heard the same from some when Ange was linked with spurs, they're a basketcase, we're a much better club, another season and crack at europe then he'll get a 'bigger' move next year etc... O'Riley will gain nothing from another year strolling it in scottish football, he's already developing past this level, if a move to a top league is on the table now 90% he'll be away, money aside it's a massive step up in quality week to week and the right choice for his progression as a player.

He’ll 100% be away, if Brighton are putting in £25M+ then so will other EPL teams. No chance he’s turning that down especially with how good Brightons been with their player trading.

Yeah not going to get my hopes up. He’s gone in my eyes, and if he stays it’s a massive bonus.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is a wee bit unsure. He's very switched on and I recall him turning down other moves to come here, lot of chat about him and his dad being very clear on the career path.

Still think he will go, mind.

I do get what you mean, but a manager have 1 or 2 options while a player like Matt have 60. It is evidens that he is about to level up to beast mode now so he will only get better options. They will have to luren him with wages after another season here

I think if Atalanta offered what we wanted he'd be long gone. I still think if Brighton have offered €29 million he's gone, but I don't think they have, it'd make zero sense to go in that high with their first bid.

    Wait and see I guess.

He couldn't get in the team consistently because of MoR, and virtually everybody would be a downgrade on MoR.

Considering Atletico were in for him in January I wouldn't be surprised if he's unsure about Brighton
