100% he will be sold shortly. Won't matter a jot what he goes for as the money will be stashed on the bank and not reinvested in players of similar quality.

An absolute * show that with riches in the bank we still have the desire to sell off the family jewels.

I wouldn't bother me selling our best player if we would spend some * money.

We are tying our hands behind our back this season

A big player on loan with option to buy would be fine

If thats the offer, 25m plus 4m addons hes gone, really hope a sizeable chunk is reinvested to replace him as he is one of our most important players.

A wee loan for one of brightons players thrown in would be nice also, barco or buonotte (sp)

I wouldn't mind as much if we were on the front foot with getting guys in the door.

To sign a guy for £1.5 million and sell him on for about 20 times that isn't bad business. No doubt MK Dons will be entitled to some of that as sell on fees, which I'd imagine we'll recoup if O'Riley moves on from Brighton.

The thing is, the board knew fine well he would be offski this summer. They can't say that we had to sell him first before we could recycle the money to sign other players.

With the champions league money guaranteed, plus this O'Riley sale, then I imagine Frimpong may move on to another club which would see another big windfall, you'd imagine we should be strengthening significantly.

We probably won't, and we'll get leathered out of Europe as we do. I understand our * league holds us back, and we will always be a feeder club to likes of Southampton and now Brighton as long as we are where we are.

It must be fantastic being in the Celtic boardroom. A company where no matter what you put out, the punters buy it. Making a * fortune.

The board's only ambition is to be better than Rangers, whether we like it or not.

Hearing doak possibly coming on loan, lol, surely that would be the mother of all slaps in the faces.

Ok let's take a promising player, right, he's never fit, now what we'll do is send him out on loan back to those daft jocks to get fit and then we'll get him back in squad next season. Oh dontou hear they sold the boy oreilly, so he'll be guaranteed game time.

Could not agree more. They can take a long walk off a short pier on that idea for me.

    Aye, you're right.

Seems he's just suggested we've accepted a offer (unnamed club).

We did pay around 16m euros for him. We paid £6m up front then they got 30% of the £25m from the sale, which is another £7.5, so £13.5m which is around 16m euros.

That's not how that works in regards the fee paid at the time.

It's not how fees get represented though.

Take Frimpong, his transfermarkt page just has his €11m sale, not any side notes about potential percentages.

Take van dijks sale to Southampton, it's shown as €15m, which was the original £13m we sold him for, not the sell on we had as well.

No it’s not. We don’t pay them the sell on, the buying club do.
