Vikings is great for about 4 series then it drops off a cliff.

You just can't keep killing off main characters and expect the quality to keep up.

One of my all time favs, actually for me it challenged Sopranos as my fav, but I only went Sopranos due to it longevity.

Although I found McShane my fav ever character.

BTW just finished The Gentlemen, I hope it doesn't get a new season, unless it's unrelated as that finished brilliantly.

Absolutely loved it to death, phenomenal.

It is amazing how many of the shows big characters they kill off throughout the series. My understanding is that this season 3 of the spinoff Vikings Valhalla is the final chapter. I was planning on starting it last night but actually think I will leave it for a bit and instead last night I watched the first 2 episodes of Narcos which is about Pablo Escobar. Not sure yet but I will keep watching and see how I like it maybe after season 1.

Lots to look forward to so. I will probably alternate between Narcos and another great show I am enjoying at the moment on Paramount+ The Mayor of Kingston. I am halfway through season 2 on that and it is excellent. Main character is a fixer in a small blue collar town in Michigan centered around prisons. Great show.

I've just watched the first 2 seasons of Breaking Bad, finally got round to watching it after all those years lol.

It's some of the best tv i've ever watched, binge watched it in a few days, not quite up there with the Sopranos but it's in the conversation.

I get that because it’s quite messy and hard to like some of the characters ( Jane!)

as someone else said, mcshane is sensational and without giving any spoilers , the episode he is unwell is so good it’s almost unwatchable

    Just gets better as well.

Personally I prefer Better Call Saul so if you haven't seen that yet you're in for a treat.

The writing and acting is something else, skillfully manages to blend comedy with serious issues, you'll love it.

FYI on Dark which I liked the look of they use voice overs which I can't stand so I ditched that one.

I like to watch a lot of foreign movies and tv series, so will watch this with subtitles no probs, never been keen on voice overs or dubbing.

I'm so jealous that you and @The Prof get to watch both for the first time. Vince Gilligan is a genius. Both shows are such a slow build yet don't feel like it.

Think I'll start Better Call Saul again, it's been about 18 months since I last finished it :giggle1:

I remember saying the same thing to a guy when he said he was thinking of watching Game of Thrones. Will look forward to it for sure.
