His goals to mins ratio has been really good for us. Just currently lacks a bit in other aspects of his game. Would have liked him loaned out in January there but Rodgers just doesn't fancy him so good luck to the lad. Hopefully get a decent sell on

Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-Gyu has jetted out to Belgium to undergo a medical with KRC Genk after agreeing terms, sources have told Football Insider.

A deal has been agreed upon between the two clubs, with Oh being permitted to fly out on Friday to finalise the transfer.

Oh has agreed terms with the Belgian giants and was allowed to miss training on Friday to travel to Belgium.

According to sources, a deal to end his time at Celtic Park is expected to be completed this weekend.

Oh signed a five-year deal for Celtic in January 2023, but the Scottish side are already cutting their losses.

The South Korean striker has made just 47 appearances for the club since his arrival, scoring 12 goals for the Hoops in that process

Most of his appearances have come from the bench, with Brendan Rodgers favouring other players instead.

One reason Oh struggled for game time last season was due to Adam Idah’s impressive loan spell in the second half of the campaign

The forward remains a bright prospect for the future and has shown quality in front of goal throughout his career.

He scored 14 goals in 53 appearances for Suwon Bluewings and has gained 11 international caps for South Korea

Whatever we get, it's a good deal.

Think Bernardo and Kasper will be on significant wages, to be fair. Probably evens itself out over the course of a season.

If he gets the game time at Genk I think he’ll kick on massively over there, really like him but just didn’t have that poacher bit about him when it mattered like Idah.

Around 20k each maybe yeah but that’s not what I was getting at tbf I’m saying purely what it’s costing Genk to get oh in is less than what we’re getting two superiors players in. Good business in that sense.
Now time to invest money into our other areas :BR1:

My main take away from this is how much I miss Mooy.

Good luck to him, always gave 100% and scored a few good goals. Hopefully he goes on to a good career.

Stephen McGowan saying the deal we are getting is £4.5m. So over €5m.

    That’s an unreal deal.

£4.2m reported, would be an amazing deal.

Tbh I would back him to thr hilt about his attitude and application, but just wasn't enough.

Wish the big man all the best, hope he rips it up.

There are many things to criticise Lawell over, but getting the best fees for our players isn't one of them.

Covers Idah, who'll be done next week once Oh has gone.
