Peter Vindahl remains the main transfer target of Celtic , who are looking for a replacement for Joe Hart. According to the British Daily Record, the Scottish club should take the next step to agree on the arrival of the Danish goalkeeper. He has reportedly been negotiating with Sparta for several weeks, but so far he refuses to pay the sum exceeding 8 million pounds (roughly 238 million crowns), which the Letenskés demand. “Celtic still believe a deal can be done and will push for it. The Scottish champions have a shortlist of goalkeepers and Vindahl is at the top of it," reads an article from the Daily Record .

If anyone thinks the board will pay £8 million on a keeper must have been living on the moon for the last 40 years we will end up with the 35 year old from Newcastle who's on a free transfer.

 

Would rather Dubravka tbh

 

He's still the one I've liked the look of the most too! If the money they're talking about for this guy is true he doesn't look anywhere near as good as the Turkish guy. He also looked more lile a leader and a nut job too which is always a good trait to have in a keeper.

 

Why are We even looking into signing this guy when He only signed a permanent contract with Sparta Prague back in March?, It doesn't make any sense whatsoever, Sparta Prague won't want to sell him if He has only recently signed for them.

 

See to take that a step further I know Sparta had an option to buy him but given we knew Hart would be away why weren’t the money men speaking to his previous club Alkmaar and more importantly the player back then.

When Hart announced his retirement we should have already been scouting a new keeper for a year minimum as we knew he was in the last year of his deal and this was a possibility.

If Jensen was up on that shortlist near the top then why not be properly working on it out with the window. That way you know how interested the player is what he’s looking for in wages and could have offered Alkmaar a little more than the €1.5m they got for him but ultimately they were happy to sell or tied in to an option so it really would have been the player that needed convincing.

It is insane that we don’t even try the above, or are not in the position to do so. We genuinely seem to stop functioning in terms of incoming transfers outwith a window.

 

Seriously Lukas Jensen at Lincoln City.

By all accounts is making moves in his career and performing well after being released by Burnley.

Could be very Forster-esq

 

Can’t say I have seen him play but reading up on him he does sound like a very decent option. Even signing him and a Dubravka incase one or the other didn’t work out.

You are probably looking at a £3m outlay to get the two of them. £2m for Jensen and then £1m to Newcastle to pay off Dubravka to take less money from us much like the Hart deal.

Spending anything close to £8m on Vindahl Jensen just doesn’t make sense.

 

Can we no just move on from this guy..
