He's not coming back, he's on about 80kpw, but people really have selective memories of him. Blaming him for 20/21, after he got covid but still scored 22 goals and got 6 assists in 40 games, maybe if Griffiths wasn't a fat waster we could have had someone else support him and score goals or if we hadn't signed Ajeti.

In 2019/20 he scored 29 and got 18 assists in 47 games. That's amazing stats. The season before that 22 goals and 8 assists in 52. In his first season (he turned 20 in January that season) he scored 11 and assisted 4 in 29 games. 3 and 2 in 11 for his final season.

    So for Celtic
    Games 179
    Goals 87
    Assists 38

Would have him back in a heartbeat.

His record for us was fantastic and the covid season has blurred memories. Wasn't enjoyable for any player never mind him yet he still got double figures comfortably, something Kyogo may not yet do this season.

People don't consider the impact it would have had on footballers, compounded by the fact he had to deal with Lennon in prime Narcissitic mode.

Can see him going to Saudi with Dembele.

Downed tools in the 10iar season. He wasn't the only one but he was a big player and should be one setting an example.

Would have him back but I imagine they will want easily 10mil+ and knowing he's one who may down tools in a battle I would much rather spend that money elsewhere

Don't think we will see him back at Celtic but he is about to enter the last year of his contract at Crystal Palace so I would say there is a very good chance he will be on the move this summer. At the end of the day while I would be happy if we signed him back especially given he still is only 26 I would guess his wages would have to be way out of our ability to pay even if the transfer fee was doable given he is in the last year of his contract.

I don't think he works hard enough off the ball tbh.

I'd still take him back though.

Get him back, bring Tierney back and go all out and bring Roberts back. All now fully developed so can see the final interpretation of a team Rodgers tried to build. I'm all in.

VVD should come back as the older sensible CB for a couple years before he calls it quits aswel..

If he hadn't been a stroppy Le Sulk instead of Le Hulk in his last season and the start of Ange's era, I'd take him. I think the past few years have shown us the advantage of East Asian players - they try hard, if nothing else, and don't down tools.

The start of his last season he wasn't going to risk himself getting injured. I don't think the club would have wanted him to either.

Utter nonsense. Even in a poorer season he still scored 22 goals for us. The “downing tools” narrative is simply bullshit.

And his attitude. Doesn't strop, always gives his best .. the attitude of the Japanese lads in general has been amazing... they're like the Tony Robbins of football!

    Kyogo for me.

Would have him back in a heartbeat. Him, Kyogo and another striker of Idah level would be unreal.

I would love for him to return, BR would revitalize his career and get the best out of him.
And he would offer so much more than Kyogo does.
