Can't mind any player splitting opinion more than our Daizen. Belting heed of hair.

 

Starfelt and Sammy are top 2 with Daizen rounding out the top 3 players that split the fans.

First two, they were either world class, superstars or worse than *, worst players ever depending on who was talking about them.

Daizen is more agreed that * * he brings a lot, unique worker, world class pressing and work rate. But * *, he’s annoying. Until you say that outloud, and he does something immediately you’re convinced he doesn’t actually have the ability or capability of doing. Daizen gives no * about not being able to, sometimes he will anyway, after doing something honking.

His hatty was peak Maeda man, got 3, should be amazing that but honestly, 5/6 is what he should have had and ye leave happy with him but shaking your head a wee bit.

 

Agree on Sammy - he probably infuriated me more than Daizen because he had more technical ability than Daizen. I also sometimes think Sammy's demeanour didn't help him, when he was having a bad game it looked like he didn't care which probably wasn't true.

Do feel it was harsh on Starfelt how much he split opinion despite being very consistent, feel loads were poisoned by that initial Hearts game and then couldn't see by it.

 

I said last season when Starfelt was here that we wouldn't realise how important he was until he was gone

 

Starfelt was more because he could be a bombscare but genuinely covering and positioning wise, he was * unreal at it, up there with the best probably is the best I’ve seen at Celtic for they aspects of defending. Was also quite weak, being outmuscled easy, was prone to a clanger, had a knack for clearing it directly towards a player you don’t want it to land to… but he was that high a level at the covering, running towards his own goal defending, sweeping up behind CCV stuff the opinions were split to *

I’d argue we have no idea if he is yet, until CCV gets a proper run back without him.

He’s that much a presence him not there, * knows if Starfelt is a big miss, because CCV is a catastrophic miss

He’s next level *. But will get away with it as he’s runs fast. A Palma, Kuhn etc would’ve been bombed from the entire squad if they were putting in performances like that constantly. Every attack breaks down at him.

He is frustrating, but he's ideal for there.
