Definitely got a bit of quality about him but also not the defensive midfielder we've been in need of for a while. Would still be a good option to have though once his loan is up. Good he's at a team that want to play the ball about as well.

I was actually surprised how good some of St Mirren's interplay was. It did help that Hibs were absolutely shocking though, can't see their manager lasting much longer. As for the defensive midfielder part they actually seem to be deploying him as more of a box to box midfielder, he was regularly the furthest forward of their midfielders especially when pressing and even made a few runs in to the box that weren't picked out by his teammates.

Aye, noticed that. He seemed to interchange between dm and am, or at least furthest forward of their midfielders. Tidy player, if not a bit lightweight looking at times.

From BBC regarding tonight's 2-0 win vs Dundee. "Who stood out?
Kwon Hyeok-kyu. The on-loan Celtic midfielder looks a really smart addition to St Mirren's midfield, combining well with Caolan Boyd-Munce.

He kept the play ticking nicely, and even better - tracked back brilliantly when Owen Beck went one-on-one and helped deny a near-certain goal."

He came off before the hour, not sure if it was tactical or injured, hopefully the former. I'll have his highlights up tomorrow (or whenever St Mirren put up the full game on their site).

Some good signs that he is adapting to our league well.

This is good, although I didn’t even know Beck was back at Dundee.

Alright bhoys and ghirls it's that time of the week, your weekly Kwon highlights :giggle1:.

Quieter game for the lad today, two biggest highlights being a through ball that almost resulted in a goal and a last ditch tackle that almost certainly saved one at the other end. Subbed off after 55 so very few second half touches (commentators mentioned he was looking leggy but heavily praised his impact to that point).

    Enjoy!

He's got a nice variety of passes and not afraid to get stuck in. Nice.

Mental we don't do this more..

Someone like Holm for example would've smashed it for the sheep or Hibs or someone and we've others also capable of doing well and getting to grips with our league..

If you guys want to pay for my St Mirren TV sub I won't complain :giggle1:. Honestly it's just fun getting to keep tabs on a loan player I'd love to see do well and St Mirren actually play some good football, I'm starting to get a bit fond of them :fear:
