It's undoubtedly a very much underwhelming signing, more-so due to the fact it's not in the glaringly weak position we've been needing to improve for so long.

He's essentially going to be a third choice striker when everyone is available, but I hope he does well in whatever opportunities he gets.

Windows been bad enough but when you add in Hatate, CCV, Taylor injured and Yang, Oh, Maeda on INT duty makes it criminal. To add to that MJ, Turnbull and potentially Forrest away. Although their time was up that’s 3 bench players with 2 of them coming on every game and 1 contributing plenty goals.


That’s 8 of our match day squad not here for the next few games, tough ones too.

2 arguably are our best players (CCV/RH) and 4 of them regular starters when fit (CCV/RH/GT/DM)

If that’s our business done, which it looks like we are dragging the lad on loan till 11pm it has to be one of the worst transfers windows we’ve had in 20 odd years. The worst being Willio Flood but this is really close to that.

Peter has let Mark have his Pal Michael round for a sleepover as it's deadline day. He's got a multipack of discos, cherryade and double dips in for them. And at 10pm, they'll all watch the breaking news as Idah is announced and interviewed about paradise under the lights on Europen nights.

 

We're nailed to be linked with a Nottingham Forest player on loan at some point tonight. It feels like they own 75% of all players so they must have some cast offs for us

 

If Turnbull and MJ leave then its still bodies and depth gone which is horrific when we haven’t strengthened.

Brendan Rodgers still wants a left-back in the door tonight and the recruitment team are believed to be currently working on that position but it has been quiet from inside Parkhead this month.
They were interested in Luke Thomas of Leicester City earlier with Rodgers have worked with the player before while Hugo Bueno was one name they also approached about, but were told Wolves did not want to lose the Spaniard.



Sergio Gomez was asked on tentatively but Manchester City would not allow the player to leave in this window on loan.

The 11.30pm deadline is closing in and the clock is ticking

 

At least the club will be here in 100 years and we’ve taken lessons from the other side of the city. Great stuff.
