The lack of signings is still scandalous but getting rid of a lot of our deadwood would be fantastic. Having * like MJ and Turnbull moping about the dressing room was likely a big cause of the disharmony we've seen amongst the squad.

They better be busy in those four months as if the window shuts tonight and we are as we are they need to find permanent homes for about 8 players and we need 10 in.

We realistically could be looking at

- Hart and Siegrist going so need 2 goalkeepers
- we could do with competition at right back
- we still need rid of Bernabei and a left back in
- we still need Lagerbielke to go and a new centre back in as well as Kobayashi to go.
- we will lose O’Riley and possibly Hatate along with Turnbull away and Bernardo’s loan up so will need at least 2 if not 3 centre midfielders
- Abada will be off so will need another winger. Will have to find permanent sales for Haksabanovic and Johnston.
- Idah loan will be up so we will be a striker short again.

Given how hopeless this operation have been at finding a GK and LB for the last year, I can’t see them even making a dent in the above.

 

It seems like we are about to lose 3 homegrown players in Turnbull, Mikey (loan) and Forrest. Not an issue at the moment cause we're out of Europe, but we'll likely struggle to name a 25-man european squad next season.

Sky Sports talking about a whole host of clubs looking at O’Riley. That would just top this all off if he went today and that’s why we are looking at a midfielder.
