, turnbull and bernebei going out toppled with hatates potential injury then i would imagine we need more than just a left back and a striker in, we are going to be very short on numbers , 5 of those players probably make match day squads

We aren't discussing child abuse.

We are talking about potential reasoning behind our lack of investment in the squad and our hoarding of our cash. Should we also ban the 'sale of shares' chat?

Just because you may not like what is going on with our club from a criminal/court point of view, it is a genuine legal case that may have an affect on our ability to spend. That would, in turn, impact our ability to bring in players. It's potentially linked, whether you like it or not.

 

Could be point 1, to an extent but I honestly think it’s point 3.

I honestly don’t think it is any of the 3 above. Yes there will be no.1 in the back of their minds but I don’t think we are lucky enough for Desmond to be looking to sell his shares.

Also where the 3rd is possible I genuinely think this comes down to arrogance, ignorance and delusion.

The owner, Chairman, Board, CEO and Finance Director all believe because we have won so many trophies domestically that they have done a brilliant job and the constraints they have placed on the club are part of the reasons for that success. They are all patting each other on the back and the other major shareholders in the club who also have little interest in the football side of the club are happy with what they are doing.

In their minds they know best and the fans and everyone else doesn’t. They are content making a few CL groups every so many years and landing a big sale of a player every other year. Getting to CL groups is the height of their ambitions and being competitive domestically.

They only act when it gets to a point where we may not be competitive domestically and have a big sale lined up. They have brought in the Chairman’s son to play FIFA/ football manager with our recruitment department and think if dad used to do it as CEO and we won all these titles why can’t Jnr?

They maintain the tight wage structure and spending controls because we won titles with them and got occasionally lucky with our player recruitment scatter gun, so again why change that approach?

Namely they are achieving what Desmond wants of Celtic and he is who keeps Lawwell’s, Nicholson, McKay, and all the board members in a job so the incentive for those guys to change what they are doing is nil.

They don’t want to put in the additional effort to try be what we could be as they are Happy with where they are.

That is why we are making decisions to pay out the money for the new Barrowfield out the accounts rather than financing it, that is why we are not targeting £6m players but buying 3 or 4 players for £6m because it’s what we have always done.

It could be a case study for why you need change in a Board room and executive of a business/ football club. But they know best as it self preserves them.

 

When we really badly needed strengthening. Only our last game against dross being one fans were saying "worst performance ever"

As things stand, with the potential exits of turnbull, forrest, MJ. Add Tillio to that.

Do we even have a matchday squad to pick from.

 

I already thought we where quite light before the start of the window and tbf 4 of them you would see getting some game time here and there so leaves us really short , vata signing a new contract maybe take up one space as I think there’s a player there but still think if those all go then we need at least tonight a lb, cm , winger and striker lol and tbh chances of even getting 50% of that are slim.

Question about British company law: how far in advance does a majority shareholder's intent to sell shares have to be communicated?
