Do think it can be argued tbh.. there's an argument he's a better goalscorer than Kyogo, with Kyogo having more to his overall game, better movement, proven in bigger occasions etc..

But, Shankland is definitely in the top 2 in our league, whatever way you look at it..

Aye, as said in this thread a lot, maybe we need to think short-term now and again.. we're obsessed with sell on cash..

Shankland's goals, along with Kyogo's would see us over the line..

Bag the CL cash, punt Oh and buy the next Edouard/Dembele..

Kyogo, new ST and Shankland good options for next season.

Probably won't happen but makes sense for me.

Why not look at Miovski younger similar goal return both can score in our league why are we so obsessed with Shankland.

Shankland definitely more prolific for me, think he has 7 more than Mivoski this season already, all comps..

Think he has a bit more about him and think he would score goals for us, not sure Miovski would..

    Probably won't happen anyway..

only 3 more in all comps and Mivoski capped more at international level if that is any consolation. I don’t think we will pay it for shankland with age etc our board are money ball notorious at present

Never really thought Miovski was that great against us, whereas Shankland has bagged a hat trick and always looks dangerous.. probably just loves a goal v us.. :56:

Shankland can skelp a FK. Never realised he was 29.

Aye for me he's the more prolific, but not that I'm saying overall he's better than Kyogo.

Said before I think we should try get him in but there's next to no potential sell on value and Scrooge McDuck won't see past that.

how do you work out he’s most prolific had a 3rd more shots than mivoski and 9 more on target than him for 4 more goals that would make him the worst out of the 3 with Kyogo having less shots also

For a striker the only stat that really matters is goals..

Is Kyogo a better player, of course.. does Miovski maybe have more to his overall game probably..

But, Shankland gets lots of shots away and scores more goals..

more shots but not a super good goal return 4 goals better than mivoski with 9 more on target points to him being less clinical needing more shots to score. And 11 more than kyogo for 5 goals more again shows he needs more shots to get goals so less clinical than the other two.

Like I say you can interpret those stats in different ways.. does he get more shots away because he gets into better goal scoring positions?

And again the stat that matters is goals.

He's a better option than Oh off the bench and could probably carry the fight if Kyogo was injured..

If we stick with one up, he isn't going to replace Kyogo, but he would be a great option off the bench. Never that convinced Oh is the answer when we're against a low block and need an impact player to make a difference. Having a player that is proven to score plenty in Scotland is a great fall back even if he isn't going to get us to the next level in Europe.
