Boy has something about him, people are being overly critical because he's a project and we've not got quality in ahead of him.

We sort that out over the next couple windows and Yang will have the space to develop properly, rather than being flung into vital games when he's not ready.

Played really well. Suits him coming on when others are tired and we're winning. Great ball over the back line, brilliant skill tight in the box. That's just how he should be used to develop, not a main starter. Gotta remember he's only been a pro for 2 years aswel and in that regard I can see why we signed him. Not a starter though.

Showed that he has talent. Add some experience over the next year or so and he could develop into a valuable player. He's only 21 and just getting going in his career.

  4. He needs to be coached to pass earlier, after he has beaten the full back. I understand that players tend to get absorbed into dribbling- it's fun for them. But the opposition do not sit idly while one of them is getting rinsed. A timely pass or shot after a dribble is more important than the dribble itself.

I do hope he can realize his dreams with us, even if a loan spell is necessary.

I’m not a fan and I don’t think he will make it here but he was very good when he came on yesterday

  6. He's one of those players you wouldn't be surprised if he turned out good by the end of the season or next season as he does have some good quality about him, skillful and tricky on the ball and good technically.

You wonder how he'd have done under Ange if we signed him in January when we were playing well and he'd probably have got to come on for 30 minutes a game with games already wrapped up and been eased in under good conditions.

  7. I like him off the left more as well..

He was excellent against the sheep on the right but he just looks naturally better off the left. Got all the skill but isn't blisteringly quick so it doesn't always come off on the right..

One of those players that if we actually brought in first team ready quality, could've even been afforded a loan with us having a healthy lead in the league..

On the left - fine with him starting or coming on. On the right - nope, does nothing for me.

Literally never such a one sided winger when on the right.

I think all he needs to do is relax and show some composure...looks to me like he's trying too hard to impress so over does stuff. There's a player there, just needs to play his natural game and with that he'll release the ball at the right time..I thought he looked good when he came on

If we bring in a first team ready right winger, I don't see why we couldn't loan him out to Aberdeen etc.

I want that to happen. He's been poor when starting but class off the bench so far.

I don't see why people are writing him off.

I like him, but I also see it with lagerbielke and holm too.. non should be starters but should be coming on in games like Saturday. Although appears lagerbielke is gonna be bombed out the door

We are just far too over saturated with projects that we don't have any real depth in quality.

Lagerbielke being spoken about in the same way as Yang and Holm days it all.
Guy was £3m or so brought in white literally as Starfelts replacement, yet he's a development player at best for us (albeit he was doing well elsewhere).

We replace first team players with hit and hope projects. Mental.

Rodgers has spoken of wanting a 25 man squad. 3 keepers and 22 outfield players.
For me that means 2 1st team quality players for each position and 2 projects.
Yang and Holm would be completely acceptable as those 2 players but no way at the moment should they be in the initial 20.

In terms of Lagerbielke I think he was brought into be 1 of the 4 main centre half's, it's just turned out he's not very good and Scales has stepped up to take that place alongside Ccv, Welsh and Nawrocki (for the moment at least).

See this is where I haven’t got the same patience with the board. This should have been sorted in the summer. Not 3 windows later. We had the money there, we failed to do it. A common theme for us. We brought in too many projects and have overloaded our squad now.

Watching Maeda dribble last game was painful.

Really hope we are aiming for someone more technically gifted if that is to be the future.
