Henrik left us at the top, but could still do a fantastic job for us. He is probably still better than any of our strikers. He wouldnt score as many but his work rate and team play would mean he would still be an excellent player for us.

    You are my Larsson...

  4. I would love him to come back but not as a player. Maybe as a coach.

I think the guy is amazing but at the end of the day he is 36 may not play as much and it could hamper his reputation with the fans. Say he does come off the bench on sunday with us tied 2 each and misses 3 or 4 great chances the huns will be laughing their * off and I for one would feel sick at that thought.

Love him to come as a coach but player no. Just retire son

  5. I prefer to think positively - imagine he comes off the bench - us tied at 2 each - and he scores 3 or 4 great chances - lol.

  6. one more shot at CL football and 4 games againsts the huns!

how could Larsson say no! 65,000 shouting his name each week

    YOOOOOU ARE MY LARSSON!

Come on larsson return to us oh king of kings

  7. 36 is not an issue, he’s fit of body it’s weather he’s still hungry to play. He showed plenty of appetite for the game against France. His undoubted class would make us better. Even if he is not used as the main man and doesn’t bang in as many goals as he used to, his legend is always secure.

Would love to see it happen but probably just a pipe dream.

  8. naw, dont just retire son, he proved against france he can still score goals against the worlds best! i would love to see Larsson for 1 more season, and david wier is 2 or 3 years older and he is still rangers best defender! age has * all to do with it!

  9. 65,000?

  10. Proof was in the Euros he has hunger he played his socks off with a * upfront next to him, did you see the interview after the game they were on about his age and ive never seen him so annoyed before i don't think he ever wants to retire!

  11. It's got to happen. He's the striker we've been looking for.

  12. yeah i was over hyping it

  13. Larsson and jan could easilly score 60 a season in a partnership

  14. The return of the king? :celt_2:

  15. :50:Fair play tho' - think a lot of us are just as excited mate:50:

  16. i wouldn't want celtic to sign any 36 year old but i think we could always make an exception for henke. seen him play twice lately and he still looks in top form, what a man

  17. He can still play that's for sure. He was never a physical-based player, he's all about technique and more importantly intelligence. I share the fears of some that he went out on top and wouldn't want to see a lesser player return. But at the same time, I think his quality is still there. If he were to sign, he would add some much needed experience, composure and pedigree to the team. He doesn't need to score 30 goals to be a major asset. In europe especially he would be priceless: making clever runs, holding possesion, helping those around him. Naka, McGeady, Maloney, Crosas and Larsson - thats some serious firepower, passing, movement and invention.

At the end of the day though, Henke was always a man of his word and very stubborn with his decisions. He said he wouldn't return to play, and I respect why he decided that. He's too big a player to us to sit on the bench. Still, I'd love for him to grow old with us, repect what he can still do (which is most things). Imagine the lift that would give the team!

  18. ive gotta admit fantasy stuff the only down side is if he dopesnt make an impression because he is held in such high regard that it would spoil a lot of memories

  19. too right bud, since when has a Celtic fan not got over excited when we are talking about henke! :celt_2:
