Nat Phillips

Discussion in 'Ex Players' started by Idioteque, Aug 30, 2023.

  1. Works both ways, there can be an expected level of play time but the player they’re giving us has to be of the standard required and if he isn’t he doesn’t play, it really is that simple. If we’re hampering ourselves to keep Liverpool sweet then I’m not really sure where we’re going as a club.

Funnily enough aberdeen have another of their centre halves on loan and he’s barely had a sniff of a game and doesn’t ever make match day squads. So either they don’t care about some perceived ‘relationship’ or they deal with them differently to us. Neither looks very good on us as a club.

  2. His cameo against Hibs should of been a massive indication to Rodgers that he couldn't start but he made an * of it by calling out GL and Nawrocki so had to save face by starting Phillips. Absolute joke of a decision from Rodgers everyone could see that performance coming

  3. Had a night to sleep on it...

    Still * despise him.

Utterly dugmeat. * him off to Liverpool already.

  4. * the Christmas countdown, 21 days until Philips is no longer a Celtic player.

If the link @Callum McGregor posted is true, then someone needs * chased from this club.

Be it Lawell, Nicholsen, Rodgers or all of them.

Pure idiocy to take on an agreement like that.

What's more concerning is the possibility that with over 70m in the bank, and another 28m odd to come from this year's CL, we arent willing to take a small financial hit (I assume paying his full wages, or even a a loan fee) to keep the * on the bench.

Even more alarming is Rodgers slating both Nawrocki and Lagerbielke, claiming they weren't starting because they weren't showing in training. * is Philips showing in training?
How does that help our own players, when they just arrive and can't get a game because of a loanee who looks like he won a competition to get a contract? What sort of message does that send to those players?

  5. I was just reading an interview from last week by Rodgers saying that "Phillips has been brilliant since he has came here".

Don't know what the * he's been watching. He's probably the most awkward player I've seen for years. Looks like he's just learned to play football this year.

Lagerbielke must be injured still, he looked pretty dodgy tbf, but Nawrocki looked fairly solid to me.

I played Centre Back in my day, I'm half debating * asking Brendan if he'll give me a game.

As I said in other threads, Brendan gets a pass for Europe to an extent for how little the board backed him, but to get outdone twice by Derek McInnes in the space of 3 months or so, * not on.

  6. Given how much our lead in the league has been cut, he does deserve to face tough questions.

  10. Just seen that.

    Thank *.

If we even try to extend his deal, we deserve to lose the title.

I * hate him along with Duffy. Both are utter *.

  11. I’d punt a few quid on the club doing just that..

  12. See what can happen when we don't have this daft * on the pitch.

All of the center backs on permanent deals here are * lightyears ahead of this *.

I'm hoping that this shows Rodgers that this * is completely inept and needs punted ASAP.

    *.

  13. Welsh and Lagerbielke both showed they are better options and I have every faith that Nawrocki is as well. Give him a train ticket in the morning.

  14. Must have some sort of clause to get the emergency loan can be the only reason he's being played.

  15. In fairness I don’t think tonight is the night to be going in on him. He’s quite clearly done here and I’ll be glad to see the back of him but there’s plenty to discuss tonight without mentioning Phillips.
