Will this be GS last season at Celtic?

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Markie85, Aug 26, 2008.

  1. I sure hope not. The man gets it done and sounds like there's been a lot of future planning between him and Lawwell.

  2. Only time will tell , but I personally hope not , a lot will depend on the results of the team as much as anything else imo , as for a replacement i've heard John Barnes is still unemployed :56:

  3. fuffin *. 3 in 3 league titles and folk expect to leave at the end of the season? why would he do that? he never done it last season, his biggest critical season of the 3.

Chill mate. There was alot of folk expectin him to leave at the end of last season but he didn't. Maybe GS thought to himself he'll do another season with another crack at the Champions League then he'll call it a day. Who knows!

  4. I think the fact he stayed show's he likes it here, knows its good here and will not critics stand in his way. if he was going to just leave because people want him too he'd have done so at the end of this season. when even those who hated him beged for him to stay.
    p.s. am chilled :86:

  5. I know whats it like ,if people change there attitudes ie,not hurling abuse at him ,like get tae * ,but aired their views instead of abuse he would stay longer .

Put it this way if someone was calling you a * ,* ,and so on ,what would be your reaction ,either belt him ,or say ive had enough ,he gets it not as much now ,some weeks,

He must asked himself ,what is it im doing wrong ,every night ,sore job on the head ,he has every right to walk ,and if he did ,lets say in 6 weeks time ,and he said the only reason im leaving celtic is the abuse i recieve every week ,that would go down like a ton of bricks ,considering ,what he has done at celtic .

After he does leave and he did state that a the main reason ,do you think it would be a easy job to hire someone else after what GS achieved ,they would probaly look at GS cv and say,* that, hes done that and walked .

  6. WGS is a Legend in 3 years, wouldn't swap him for anyone! If its not broke then dont fix it!

  7. tbh i think strachs the kinda guy who took more pride in winning that league than ANY fan. a bit of girfuy yo the anti-strah's lol. he would have beeen v.satisfied with that league win lol.
he dosn't seem the type to be bullied by pressre

  8. not even mourinho?

  9. No, why would we rock the boat with a * like him and his ego? WGS knows what he's doing and knows the players. As long as he's successful then I'm happy with him in charge. We went through a period in the last few years of changing managers all the time, I'm glad stability is at the club throughout :50:

  10. 3 in a row already. can't say hes doing a bad job thats for sure!
Managed to get a photo with him Saturday :icon_mrgreen:
    But anyway...
as others have said , its way too early in the season to be thinkin about that,
but i personally don't see a reason for him to leave. Already this season theres been some great football.
soo lets keep it up bhoys.

    'Mon the Hoops

  11. :56: he would get shot up here can only think what he would say on a old firm game at ibrox he would be funny. " rangers they just park de bus in front of de goal" :56:

i want wgs to stay always been a fan of his wanted him for the scotland job and when celtic got him after that i was well happy. I would love him to stay for years but something tells me he will go back down south next season i hope im wrong

  12. i hope he will leave at the end of this year.

i dont think hes a bad manager, but a change would be good. the grass is always greener, but i reckon there's better managers out there too.

  13. get your hard hat on mate....you have just put urself on the front line :56:

  14. I'd swap him for SAF - the real best manager in the world & Scotlands best ever manager.
then in 5 years time when strach is one of the best managers in britain wish i hadn't...

  15. He's here for the long run, hopefully for 10 in a row!

  16. Since i have been alive strachan has been our best manager and my favourite aswell he is trying to get us playing good attractive football as saturday's 2nd half proved. I think people that doubt him still should think Strachan: 3 in a row, 2 domestic cups and last 16 in champs league 2 years in a row and gave us Boruc and also brought through some some good talent and made them quality players e.g Mick n Mcgeady

  17. But early

  18. He,s been good but imo Oneil was a beter motavator and his buys were much sounder two weather thats down 2 wgs ,s scouts are not i don,t know!!!! there is no chance he will be leaving either, he loves it ????? and he wants to write his self in to celtic folklore??? why would he leave??? there,s not much bigger jobs in football than managing our club!!!!!the only way gordon will leave is if celtic don,t want him anymore!!!!!!

  19. Well id like to see him stay put to be fair, im 1 of several fans thats slated him ever since hes arrived at the club. Every little decision he has made "substitutions, starting line up, new recruits and his general attitude" used to * me off but im taking a liking to him now. Hes done well for the club and i believe the players aspire to him to be honest.
