B lists can be registered up until midnight before a CL match and can be changed throughout the season.

Guessing it was a toss up between Scales and Bernie and it made sense for scales as CB and LB cover.

Nawrocki not in squad and CCV injured for first 1/2 games means had Lager or Phillips been injured we are down to 1 CB.

    I'm fine with that list.

Nawrocki was never going to be included, Phillips was brought in to replace him whilst he recovers.

As others have said, Bernabei is utterly rotten, if Taylor does get injured I suspect Scales will fill in there or we'll try another formation.

It does seem strange especially as I think it's a rule that you need 2 keepers on the bench.

Had a look at a few squads (city, man u, Lazio) and they dont have B list players either so mite be uefa just being slow in putting lists up. It did take them over a week to put up A lists so maybe it's just uefa being *

Only real surprise is Iwata over Bernie but we've got Scales and Frame who can cover at LB if Taylor gets injured/suspended.

you only need 2 keepers on the a list. If Hart gets injured he can be replaced with Siegrist as he's a keeper I believe. Also I think telling Siegrist to * off.

Rodgers I think telling Bernabei to leave.

Nawrocki understandably left out, Phillips and Scales are needed right now. Scales can be back up left back or we could play 3 at the back if needed.

I hope he does go with Frame on the bench..

I'd go with him everyday of the week over Bernabei..

Had no idea of that rule, makes sense then. Why do teams ever include a third keeper in their squad then? Seems like a waste of a player if you've got an emergency cover rule.

Because we literally have one natural left back in the squad. Whatever you think of Bernabei - and we can all see the issues with him - he's a left back with a lot of professional games and international games under his belt. Scales has only been seen as a centre back by Rodgers until now and Frame has never played a first team game. It is insane to now suddenly trust them as back up over Bernabei for the Champions League, in my opinion, especially when our centre back options are already so limited and it's likely we will need Scales as cover there.

Rodgers would probably go 3 at the back before Bernabei..

If that draws a line that iwata is McGregor's back up he should be seeing some game time, along with oh domestically.

Again, that'd just be mental. This is not the time to suddenly be experimenting. In the league, fine, but imagine our hands are tied in the CL due to an injury to Taylor and he suddenly moves to a back three in a vital home fixture against Lazio? I know how I'd feel if I were a player being asked to do that.

EDIT: the thing I don't understand is, he knows about Bernabei already and he's played him as back up to Taylor. Why now change his mind on that when we haven't signed a replacement? If he doesn't rate Bernabei enough to even be included in the squad we absolutely had to sign another left back in the window and it's criminal we didn't.

Yeah keepers can be swapped but I think you need 3 in match day squad.

Had a look and says B list can be submitted before each game so mite only be a 24hr before kick off thing

The fact we've not strengthened there is the main issue for me.. but Rodgers has used 3 at the back before in Europe with us and with Leicester..

Wouldn't be surprised if we see it tried in some shape or form soon..

I'd rather play Scott Bain at left back before Bernabei I have absolutely no issues with him not being in the squad.

I'd actually feel worse if Taylor got injured and he was in the squad bcoz it ment there was some chance the bombscare mite actually play.

Hatate played left back for a bit in Japan so may possibly be in the thinking and Iwata seems to get shifted to every position so could be another alternative. The fact I think both would be better than Bernabei and Taylor for that matter only shows again how * ridiculous a decision it was not to sign 1 last month.

That squad gives me the fear. One natural LB and that being Taylor is nightmarish.

Also Kwon looks to be a massive waste of time. We really needed a proper DM.

Bit in bold is key - if we are to use that in Europe if Taylor gets injured, we need to see it tried as soon as possible.

Aye it does seem like a waste of a place for an outfield player when that rule is there to be exploited.

Suppose only risk is if keeper got injured in warm up and then 2nd choice was to get sent off in 1st 5mins of the game and all ur left with is some 17 year old kid.

I thought he may have done it at ibrox and hope he will go with it v Dundee. Partly bcoz I'm intrigued to see it as I think it would work well but more so bcoz I can't watch Taylor any longer.

Scales being a left footed cb who has experience of left back and also playing in a 3 at aberdeen actually make it seem like a lot of sense.
