    Yeh, but if they renege on his contract that makes all the other contracts worthless does it not.

    That's a problem for attracting other footballers to the league. Plus would mess with their standing with various football authorities.

    When you see the explanation and see what they have done in boxing and golf it isn’t surprising.

    Basically their manager wanted Jota and signed him probably at that time not really knowing who he could potentially attract. The club he signed for, who are defending champions, fans are raging because their competition are signing aging top names from football and they signed Jota.

    It is very much like the LIV golf they paid all these players money to join a select group, as soon as better players became available or decided to join LIV they binned their lesser names to make room for them. This is what has happened to Jota.

    The guy stuff was obviously tongue in cheek banter, probably should have fizzled out by now tbh :giggle1:

    Still can't believe how * up the situation is with him. Aye he's on mega dough but you can't say he'll no be giving a *. He's a determined young guy who wants to be the best player he can be, zero doubts he'll want to resolve the situation ASAP.
