£60K per week, not a chance.

This isn’t the market we’ll get experienced proven quality, way out of our reach.

Realistically he's gonna have to take a wage cut wherever he goes from here. Unless it's Saudi.

I don't know how many other clubs in England are interested in him.

If we want him get in there and make the offer before a Palace/fulham/Bournemouth ask

He would be unreal, a proper game changer and someone who would instantly improve our first XI. No sell on value, sure, but he'd give us 3-4 excellent years.

If we get him, Merlin and a GK in I'll never wet my panties again.

Podence looked class when I first saw him for Wolves but never really kicked on it seems. This was a few years back mind.

His stats are pretty poor but I think he's better than Sinclair when he signed. He'd no doubt rip it up in Scotland. Would be delighted if we got him tbh
Aye I feel like in recent years fans have become too obsessed with sell on values and player trading. We can't just fill up the team with gems and projects. Need a good few experienced players too and proven guys with quality. Couldn't give a * about his age or contract if he's going to improve us and we get a good 2-3 years out of him.

He was playing well as recently as last year. Weird one.

Possibility of sell on value with saudi going how they’re going. Could have him 2 years until he’s 30 he impresses and sell to Saudi for 15m…. They’ve no problem buying older players once they’re household names. Would rather keep him as long as we can if we pulled it off though, * the sell on value :BR1:

Honestly anytime I've seen him he looks class, maybe one of those players who flatters to deceive when it comes to end product *cough* Kent *cough* but he has been playing in a pretty defensive Wolves side you associate more with being hard to beat (or at least I do).

He's exactly the kind of dynamic, skilful, two-footed winger who thrives here and who the fans love. Mon home Danny Bhoy.

Let's be honest he'd walk into our team currently. * all over Meada, Forrest and Haksabanovic.

I really want to see Yang used on the LW but getting Podence in would see us look much stronger all of a sudden.

    Podence
    Maeda
    Yang
    Abada
    Tilio

That's without mentioning Haksa and Forrest. So there's a good variety of options there, especially if Yang and Tilio fulfil their potential.

A loan to buy wouldn't make any sense if it's the final year of his contract. They would want to sell him now, not loan him then lose out on a fee at the end of it.

He could be holding out to see what other offers come in. May be a couple of weeks yet until some of these deals get confirmed, if they happen at all.

A left-sided attacker is another position Brendan Rodgers is keen to fill after Jota’s departure for Saudi Arabia. And Wolves have slapped a £12million price-tag on Parkhead target Daniel Podence. Heading in to the last 12 months of his contract, the Portuguese wide man is out of favour at Molineux.

The 27-year-old was left out of Gary O’Neil’s first squad for the 1-0 English Premier League defeat to Manchester United on Monday night after also failing to feature during pre-season.

Wolves are reluctant to countenance a loan move and would prefer to sell — with Parkhead manager Rodgers linked with Podence during his time in charge of Leicester City.

Thinking on it more, there's 0 chance they get £12 million for him with a year left on his contract, unless their holding out on a Saudi club bidding for him.

If they want him off the wage bill, then I don't see why they wouldn't accept a bid between £6-£8 million.

Certainly a better standard of what we've been previously linked to. So I had gander on the wolves boards to garner opinions.

Seems to be quite the division over him. Some claiming hes the ONLY creative player they have in their ranks, others want shot immediately.

There seems to be a prevailing narrative that he's a bit of a pony. Constantly trying passes, flicks and backheels that don't come off. As well as some very angry accusations of "rolling around" and constant "theatrics".

The "non spitting" incident seems to have bought him a fairly bad reputation within sections of their support too.

He's also been accused of "refusing" to join the club's preseason tour.
Something which seems very likely to be bullshit.

Whatever the case, they're VERY divided on him as a player. With most of them more than happy to see him leave.

One interesting comment however, accused successive coaches of playing bland, backs to the wall, defensive football, with Podence being left hung out dry by * tactics (apparently they have the worst goal tally in the entire league).

He does seem to be a fiesty wee boi. And likes to bring alot of his "personality" to the proceedings.

I'm just glad we're being linked with decent footballers at a higher level again.

Regarding his wages, he's taking a cut no matter where he goes.
Simply put, his reputation in the EPL isn't strong enough at this moment for any side down there to pay his current wage.
Also Wolves should be aware no one is paying their asking price for him. 28 years old, a single cap to his name, a pretty average goal and assist return, and all of that with only a year left on his contract.

The wolves fans believe only ONE other side has shown solid interest, Real Betis.

Would be a great signing but can't see it happening. Prove me wrong Mick Nic.
