It was over a month when Ange signed (10th June) before Abada came in (14th July). There's nowhere near the same rush required as there was 2 year ago.

 

Not a mad rush required, but the squad are in Japan in about 10 days for the main chunk of pre-season. Would be very disappointing if we've not made any real quality signings by then.

League is only 4 weeks away. Don't want to be needing to sign 4 or 5 players after we've already kicked off the season.

Activity so far during this window has been muted, two younger signings in Odin Thiago Holm and Marco Tilio alongside a couple of statements with Kyogo Furuhashi and Daizen Maeda signing contract extensions.

The blockbuster, or marquee signing has yet to arrive with expectations raised even higher with the transfer of Jota boosting the transfer fund by around £18m.

At the start of June someone called sd23 popped up on KDS with some upbeat messages as doom and gloom was predicted to accompany the departure of Ange Postecoglou to Spurs.

Ahead of the pack sd23 predicted how the Brendan Rodgers situation would play out after revealing that Celtic executives were in Mallorca to talk terms with yer man in Santa Ponsa.

Since then appearances from sd23 have been eagerly awaited with every message discussed in detail, every possibility debated.

Last night there was a whirlwind of messages, over the next couple of days and weeks his In The Know credentials will be put to the test.
