  1. and more importantly, is he available for less?

  2. Rather Skibbe than Maresca. But even better than both would be Kenta Hasegawa/Myeong-bo Hong. Even better would be Knutsen/Potter/Iraola.

  3. Wouldn't be a bad thing for the clubs long term health tbh.

  4. I'd be happy with McManus stepping up to first team coach.

  5. Rodgers or Maresca both should be nowhere near..

Hoping we pull something better out the bag, as this is fairly uninspiring..

Don't want Rodgers but would have him over Maresca.

  6. Hoping we just shock everyone with a Knutsen, but seems unlikely

  7. Skibbe is a laughable link. Honestly, if you had a competition to find the worst (Pro licensed) manager in the world, he would be a good shout. Failed and got sacked everywhere he went. Impressive how he can even still be working as a manager.

  8. Maresca would just be a wild appointment.

Only we would replace a treble winning manager with near 30 years managerial experience with a guy who's managed 16 first team games and won 4.

It's one extreme to the other.

The fact he works with Pep, looks a bit like him and had a decent-ish career shouldn't make him a leading candidate for the celtic job. We are a club who operates in the UCL, wins titles, 60k fans most weeks. We shouldn't be a training ground for coaches. We need experience. Certainly at the moment.

  9. As had been widely reported, interviews are underway for several positions in the management team. Feedback has been mixed, I understand all candidates did not convince they were required for the job

While every agent in the game is throwing a name of two at the club, the field of serious candidates has narrowed from where we were a week ago.
My hunch, is that if the bookies favourite was getting the job, he would already be in place.

Daft Paul from celtic quick news

Wonder who he means by bookies favourite. I'm assuming BR

  11. Hes only just left the role last season, seems to be doing well with the B team id keep him in that role for another season or two to see how he gets on.

  15. I really want us to be talking to AZ's Jansen.

Plays very good football and has replaced players really well.

  17. It's been made as a joke on Twitter but I would be asking the question of the Slavia Prague manager Tripisovsky

The amount of times we’ve come up against a lesser side in Europe with a quality manager that levelled the playing field is amazing. Age Horide or however you spell his name. Knutsen among others yet we’re turning to Maresca? This better be a wind up honestly.

  18. Don't want another stepping stone manager.need a few years of a stable manager HH

  19. But for a stepping stone manager to get offers from the PL, he would need to be successful here. Win, win.

We need to accept that this is how it is nowadays. I never thought i would say this, but i have full confidence in the board to get the perfect manager in. They went for Howe and Ange, both fantastic managers. We will get what suits the club well.
