I think that today was one of our best performances in a long time.very confident about next weekend.
For the huns game id go with

    Boruc

    Wilson
    McManus
    Loovens
    Hinkle

    Nakamura
    Brown
    Hartley
    McGeady

    Samaras
    Maloney

I reckon if we play like we did today,we'll win comfortably.

Shaun is a much more complete player than Aidan - much better brain, passer, shooter, scorer, assists, crosses, dead balls etc and the the biggest of these is his far better football brain. Shaun was a more complete player than Aidan is now 3 years back and he still is. The only thing Aidan is better at is really elaborate dribbling and his ability to use it to dragg away 2 markers and get the team up the pitch. Not knocking Aidan who is developing into a very good player. The real joy is we have both and Naka too and its a dream come true to see all three in the same 11.

One thing worth noting is what a watch we have won. Maloney is clearly every bit as good as Aidan and IMO is considerably better. People are quoting 12 million etc for Aidan. Well we just got Shaun for about 20% of that. That is an unbelievable bit of buisiness.

Sad to say I missed the entire match but I'm quite pleased with such a convincing result. I didn't expect Falkirk would be a tough go and thank goodness Celtic got a chance to make short work of it.

    Well done lads.

I like how we have a young scottish core to the team to build on for hopefully years to come.

Throw in the Irish kids and we have Caddis, Cuthbert, O'Dea, McGeady, Maloney, Scott Brown, Mark Wilson even, and then the young guys like Sheridan, Millar, maybe throw in McGowan. I think having mostly a Scottish (and maybe some Irish) core is good in that they know how much this club means. We've been lucky in that foreigners like JVoH, Hinkel, and Boruc have latched on to the culture, but I think only our own kids that come through the system, or grew up watching Celtic in Scotland are guarenteed to have that mentality.

We had an incredible amount of quality today, and when you see that quality for the first time you realise just how much you could have used it before. It was a joy to watch... hopefully they can do it next week against (much) stiffer competition.

Bad result for Arsenal today, mate. Wenger just seems to be getting it wrong at the moment.

Van Persie really needs to learn how to take free kicks. His ratio must be about one in a hundred.

I still remember that one in the WC though... curved it around the side of the wall... don't see that often. Thinking back, though, it was probably a mistake.

Relax, convulsive reactions to the word "maybe" can't be good for your health. I use understatement a lot, meaning words like "maybe," "sometimes," etc. are often used. I'm happy you got the oppurtunity to show the world how Irish you are, though, because that's really important.

Anyways, yes, I would like a core consisted of Scottish and some Irish guys because in the end I want fans of Celtic playing for Celtic (given they are good enough).

he's usually good with freekicks and that, but kind of lost it last season through injury

A lot lot better! Still not brilliant but better.

Thought the atmosphere was great aswell.

Boruc - 8 - good saves and safe hands

Hinkel - 6 - gave away the ball quite a few times.

Mick - 8 - Steady and a good goal even if it was his hand.

    Loovens - 7 - steady , not a great deal to do.

    Wilson - 7 - Great going forward!

Naka - 7 - good passing and amazing skill near the end to rip that left back to pieces.

    Hartley - 6 steady

Brown 6 - not showing enough of the stuff he does for Scotland.

McGeady - 7 - Back to himself in the 2nd half.

Samaras - 8 - Still think he isn't a great striker, one good finish and squeezed he 2nd one home.

Maloney - 9 - Admitted he was wrong to leave and repaying us already. Added a yard of pace to the whole game, amazing running and picks a pass better than anyone.
