My pal sent me a vid of Maeda on crutches yesterday, feared the worst. That's good news, he started brilliantly the other night.

The fact that Maeda is even 50 50 for tomorrow is brilliant news. I doubt he will start tomorrow at best he will be on the bench but thankfully he is at least not out any extended period of time as his current form has been excellent.

I wouldn’t risk him. Jota on the left, Haksabanovic on the right. Although I suspect it’ll be Abada.

Do you think it could be a bit of reverse psychology? Neilson getting in the 4th officials ear all game, coming out at the end saying you need to be decapitated to get a red at Celtic Park. Meanwhile his players boot the * out of players week in week out.

I know Daizen took a sore one, tbh I thought at the time if that's not in its got to be a pen. As the keepers nowhere. Leaving on crutches, a wee signal to the officials, aye we have players walking off on crutches, but nothing said about that.

Rest him for tomorrow and keep him on the bench against Hibs, Haksabanovic deserves a run currently either way, so perfect timing.

Had a feeling it wouldn't be too bad..

Pretty common now to see players in crutches from impact injuries as precaution..

True and I was hoping that was the case, but it is still scary seeing pictures like that all the same.

    I love this.
Maeda was giving an injury update but some translations don’t work

Translation: Thank you for all your messages of concern! It has arrived! Just one word! ! I’m ready to fight

Obviously, “I’m ready to fight”, is expressed by one word in Japanese, I just love that the person doing the translation did it verbatim

Japan representative FW Daizen Maeda also has a different menu for the match against Uruguay on the 24th, "I will adjust it in time.

On the 21st, the Japanese national soccer team practiced in Chiba City for their first international friendly match after the Qatar World Cup against Uruguay (24th, National Stadium) and Colombia (28th, Yodokou). From this day, MF Kaoru Mitoma (Brighton) and others also joined, training with 24 people. MF Takefusa Kubo (R Sociedad) could not confirm negative in the voluntary test for the new coronavirus, so he took care of himself and was absent from practice

FW Daizen Maeda (Celtic) has a different menu due to the impact of his left knee injury in the league match on the 8th. He adjusted for about an hour by cycling and jogging. In response to an interview after practice, he explained, "I'm going to make adjustments so that I can make it in time," regarding the match against Uruguay on the 24th.

Qatar World Cup lost in the first round of the final tournament, but made a starting point by defending from the front line against strong opponents such as Germany and Spain, and scored the opening goal against Croatia. By standing on the big stage, "I have become even stronger that I have to have a sense of responsibility. After all, I got points and gained confidence." Although he is worried about his injury, he has maintained his good form, scoring six goals after the World Cup with Celtic. The scorer, who spoke with a stronger sense of responsibility, was thinking about revenge three and a half years later. Not only goals but also assists are something that the team feels (necessary) more strongly. It's important to get involved in scoring."

About the first activity after the tournament "I think you're attracting attention because it's the first time you've played in the World Cup. Besides, you can cheer with your voice, right? It's my first time in the national team, so I'm looking forward to that kind of expectation. I think that the people who supported the World Cup will come to Kunitachi, so the way I express my gratitude to them is to play. I look forward to showing you where I am." On this day as well, when the children who visited the practice tour called out "Ozen player!", he responded with a smile.
