  1. Announcing the intention to leave before you even join a club is * poor, whether it's us or someone else.

Learn to walk before you run...I get the feeling his ambition will not match his ability.

2 goals against Ghana and his head seems like its going to explode.

  2. Comes across as a * imo. He have scored a half decent amount of goals in a league that is about the same standard as the Irish league, and he seems to be trying to hold out for a move to Real Madrid. Getting ridiculous imo. But it could all be media dung

By the way. Seeing Celtic as a good gateway club to the EPL can be very good in our favour.

  3. Nothing wrong with saying your ultimate ambition is the EPL. It's what 90% of our players will want and many in the past have come out and stayed it too. So long as he uses that ambition to fuel excellent performances with us I've got no problem.

Didn't Abada and Giako both come out with similar?

Anyway, going to jinx it now but this looks a cert.

  4. Sounds like he's waiting for a better offer. I'm not convinced he's worth the hassle anyway

  5. This is a mental opinion. Have we not learned from this kind of thing? We've shown the J League to be of a pretty * high standard and the K League teams regularly outdo them in the Asian Champions League.

Thank * our manager doesn't think it's on the same level as the Irish league, or we'd never be scouting there properly in the first place.

  6. He isn't coming across the best, admittedly. However, that statement is just mental. The South Korean league is far stronger than the Irish league and is probably stronger than the SPL as a whole. I'm sure it's a higher rated league than the Japanese league.

  7. Expressed myself badly. Im not saying it's bad buying from leagues like those. Absolutely not. We have been striking gold there fs.

He needs to perform in europe before teams in the EPL will even consider him. I am 110% sure that my opinion there is correct, and what im saying is that i find it strange that he seem to think he can leapfrog straight into the EPL by holding out for that chance that wont happen.

It was harsh comparing it to the irish league.

At least 75% of players that come here are wanting a move to the EPL, at least this lad is honest enough to answer the question he was asked.

We’ve had plenty players come and say at some point they want to play in the EPL.

Don’t see the fuss in him being honest and to be honest I think he’s just being respectful to his current team in saying there’s nothing fully agreed yet and doesn’t want to leave his team high and dry just before start of their season.

  11. If true, he won't get any. I mean, if he hasn't been offered enough playing time, I can understand him being indecisive. But waiting for a big club to give him both guaranteed minutes and a big wage - that won't happen.

Did he not just say his ultimate goal is to move to the EPL?

Every player we sign has that goal.

  14. Most players with no prior connection to Celtic say that they didn’t realise the size of the club until they were actually here, so I don’t see a problem with those quotes.

Kris Commons actually just did a piece on it. Said that a lot of his former teammates could never get the same buzz they did at Celtic, even when in the EPL.

Now that I've read those tweets carefully, I think his club are trying hard to persuade him to stay until summer.

  15. Land of milk and honey you get a contract their for 4-5 years and your set for life …. Unfortunately celtics brackets is just above the championship teams in regards to money and prestige just now if we keep the turnover of players and cl money coming in then the ceiling for wages could possibly change

  16. All 3 Korean clubs are trying to do that. I genuinely think we should walk away from all 3 deals

  17. Calm doon, Isa. Calm dooooooon

  18. Maybe so, but it’s stupidity at best to come out and announce it before you’ve even trapped a baw for Celtic.

He’s making a rod for his own back if it’s turns out he can’t get the better of Charles Dunne and Ayo Obielye.
