Seriously though, he's the best, and I'm comfortable saying that despite him only being here a year so far. Naka was absolutely outstanding but wasn't quite an out-and-out winger in the same way, I always felt he was more of a central player who was made to play on the wing. Jota is similar to McGeady in terms of style but is leagues ahead of him in terms of output, plus he's strong as an ox and has an elite mentality.

Very confident Jota will leave us widely recognised as the best player since MON's era.

They could add a whole new upper tier to Parkhead and easily fill it the way Jota (and the entire team, frankly) are playing.

Probably his quietest game in the Hoops.

Thought he was still decent, but not his best. Defensively didn't offer enough protection.

Looked gutted with his performance when he was coming off.

Should still be proud of himself, when Real Madrid know your a threat and set their tactics up to stop you playing your game, your doing something right.

He was quiet but he had some good moments, few good crosses and that ball to Abada was cracking

His pass to Abada was truly world class, the cross into Kyogo was a thing of beauty too. However, other than those two flashes of genius I thought he was quiet and was also a bit lazy going back the way.

They clearly identified him as our biggest threat and did a bit of a job on him.

They targeted him and Carvajal for me is highly underrated as a full back and at times he had him.

That pass was Modric or Kroos-esque too and were it not for some ropey finishing he'd have had key involvement in at least two goals. Fine margins.

He also had the chance just before he came off when he came inside.

It wasn’t his best game and I was surprised when Maeda came on that for a spell we didn’t try switching them to see how he got on against Mendy who was on a booking and would have had 2 v 1 as Vinicius Jr didn’t track back at all.

People are surprised that he struggled to have the same impact against Madrid that he has against SPL sides.
It was almost like Carvajal and Ancellotti knew what they were doing and had played against talented wide men before.

Struggled against Carvajal - which in itself is nothing to be ashamed of, per se

But, his switching off defensively, not tracking back more or quick enough was terrible.

Left us short-manned plenty of times as Real focused their play down our left hand side for large parts of the match.
