A bit sad but super proud of what I saw. Madrid is pure class. Modric.. what a player.

 

Our wingers got * all change out their fullbacks. Haksabanovic looked the most threatening of them all when he came on.

Undone by the ultimate professionals ... could've been different with a bit of luck in first half ... deserved to be 1-0 up at ht ... modders & ancelloti know what they're doing though ... they'd beat any team on earth 3-0 at the moment

 

The fact we're disappointed to not get a result and that 3-0 flatters them tells it's own story..

They showed their quality second half and at half time you can bet Ancellotti gave them a grilling about not giving us enough respect.

Credit to the ange and the lads, play like that in the rest of the games and we'll be alright!

Celtic were brilliant tonight. They struggled 2nd half because they put so much effort in during the 1st…..against the champions of Europe. The difference was taking the chances. There’s no doubt in my mind we’ll finish at least 3rd. Think of Lennon or Rodger’s team up against them…I’d have switched the tele aff after 10 minutes

 

2 years ago we were getting pumped by an utterly * Ferencvaros and Sparta Prague team at Celtic Park. Now we're giving the world's best a fright.

 

We tired badly 2nd half and resulted in some players having to work too hard , we got pulled all over and jura got caught for 2 goals , maybe we tried too hard first half and rushed our chances .

 

Just hope that Shakhtar result isn’t one that ends up scuppering our chances of 3rd. 3rd was always the realistic expectation from this group imo, fingers crossed we can pull something off against Shakhtar next week and get right into the mix.

 

I express my opinions freely, don't worry mate.. there's usually not some roaster on a forum trying to act like a hard man.

We played very well up to their first goal but could have taken hold of the game by half time by being 3-0 up. Could have maintained a lead till the end because we were still playing till the final whistle. Mooy simply settles thing down, an invaluable asset.

Jinky was a great player not simply because of his tremendous skill but because of his determined mindset and his bravery, no shin pads, socks down. When I see that attitude in some of our players then we will be an even better side.

Maeda's place is on the left side of the pitch- full stop. Does his best work there providing, pressing and helping in mid-field. Jota can play equally well on either wing. Abada had an off day.

When Benzema went off I thought we were in with a chance. We have young men playing in the CL and they will learn in time to deal with the pressure.

Ralston should have come on for JJ after the 2-0 to give us more attacking options on the right.

Real is like a reared cobra, waiting patiently till choosing the right moment to strike.

We will come second in the group and progress to the next round. We had the ascendency in the first half today, and could have even won it with more clinical finishing in the first half.

Proud to watch the boys play like that against the CL winners and their top-shelf players. Looking forward to the return game in Madrid.

That's why we will sweep most other * aside, I would wager a non life threatening organ we use this against the rest of the group and the SPL * and go on to a wonderful season.
