Celtic v Real Madrid

Feeling pretty nervous about this, they are a huge step up in ability to anything we've faced this season.

 

I've never went into a game thinking we can't win,aye it's a huge ask here but we're at home,in a really * good place and long overdue a big scalp in Europe.

 

I hope abada starts over maeda. Abada is so clinical and can spot half a chance. I know he can't hold up the ball and struggles to take a man on but he gets goals out of no where.

 

He'll definitely start over Maeda, I'm just hoping he goes with Jenz over Starfelt

Even if we get pumped tomorrow, we've gone from being barricaded outside Celtic park to "do you think we can beat Real Madrid?" conversations in 18 months.

I find it mental to want us to slow down the game tbh

Quick one touch attack is our big strength and if we willingly eliminate that from our play we gonna lose for sure. How do you think we gonna get past their defence? By slowing down the game everytime we get possession? We would need to have the better individual players to be successful with that kind of tactics, and we clearly don't have that. If we give them time to regroup their defence, we will get a beating.

Playing Mooy and Turnbull would be like playing Lundstram, Davis and Kamara and look how that worked

If we're cruising this by 3 or 4 goals id like to see Ange take off the likes of Kyogo; mcgregor and CCV so we dont pick up any injuries for Livy on Saturday

 

I know Ange will likely start him if he's fit but I wouldn't risk Kyogo. If he has a reaction to the shoulder issue early on that's a forced substitution and we saw on Saturday that likely threw out Ange's plans to bring on Haksa later on due to Kyogo and Starfelt having to come off. Start GG and maybe... maybe... bring on Kyogo late on if we have a chance of getting something out of the game at that stage.

 

We need yellow numbers as well. Can't see the numbers on their shirts at present.

 

I don't think Ange would risk him. He would've learnt from last year not to rush Kyogo back, especially when GG is available.

I think GG is more suited to the derby and Kyogo more suited to Real Madrid though.

Ange has said he's fine, so he's fine.

 

kyogo being fit for this is huge for us,i fancy him to score twice! if kyogo doesnt start i have a feeling he would play maeda up top for the amount of closing down he does

Treat them with * disdain. Press like animals, believe in yourselves and put them under intense pressure they haven’t felt in months. As Ange says, we’re a good footballing team but we’re a great pressing team.

Same team that started Saturday, Jenz in for Starfelt (Kyogo to start).

 

That Ballague thinks our best bet of hurting them is by pressing them high in to mistakes.....which is how they play..

Obviously that leaves us more open to being exposed by their quality but fuckit.....cannot wait man..
