Was interesting to see him play, albeit a cameo role. He reminded me a lot of Christiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

He does seem very assured and crisp in his passing.

It’s because he actually has something to offer, his passing ability of either foot is very good, once he is up to speed he will be a useful player for us.

McCarthy is a shambles of a deal, he should have been signed on a year with year option which we wouldn’t have even bothered taking.

What deal does McCarthy have for you to suggest it’s a shambles?

Thought he looked decent when he came on. Simple and effective.

I thought he looked good against Aberdeen. Prefer him as a sub over McCarthy all day, every day.

A 4 year first-team deal for a player whose best quality appears to be that he's a good laugh?

Too slow. Probably won't make in the SPL for the same reason Pirlo never did.

I think this guy is the new James Mccarthy. Hope to * I'm wrong.

He * off to China to make his money when he was playing at high level in England and wanted home and he's won a watch with big Ange being our manager.

Mooy couldn't have written it better

I don’t think anyone knows his wage but I’d assume it’s at least around the first team average or slightly less and Celtic reported the contract length as 4 years when he signed.

I suppose it could be entry level though, which would make it slightly less shambolic.

He’ll be on at least 10k a week.

Not sure how anyone can deny it’s been a total mess of a signing. A 4 year deal for a guy his age and with his injury record. Who now looks to be about 7th choice midfielder.

The pandemic in China that probably had something to do with that

Personally i think he's here to be the cool head to shore up results in Europe, which I'm fairly convinced is Postecoglou's top priority this season.

He might not be at the top of his game but don't think he's fallen from matching the French at the WC and English midfielders at Wembley to being unable to match the ones in the SPL.

He’s on around 15K and then bonuses for appearances.

My point is no one on this Forum knows, however, it’s generally accepted that he’s on a large chunk of appearance money.

If Ange didn’t have a use for him, squad player or otherwise, he’d be out the door. Think that much is clear.

It doesn’t matter how much he’s on. That’s the point. However much he’s being paid is too much.

    It’s been a terrible signing.

As to your last point, that’s a bit simplistic. Ange clearly has no use for Ajeti either, still can’t shift him. We need a club to actually want our dross.
