No i don't. We will be playing a third more games than them against better opposition than anything in the SPL. That takes its toll as has been seen on many occasions in recent years when one side of the OF goes out early and the (usually better) side who are still in Europe struggle in the league a bit due to the strain of competing on so many fronts.

Talk of putting out reserve sides in the cups as discussed in another thread is not o bad an idea.

Yeah playing a second string squad in the legue cup would be an idea but if our second stringgers came up against rangers in final do we change side or let them play

I do not think we will walk the league. I think we have the players to do it no problem, but they will have to play a * of a lot better than they did last season.

The huns will do their usual bit of scraping by teams most of the season. And with them not playing in europe at all we will have to be good to beat them this time.

It will still be tough pal thats all theyve got to concentrate on now, im sure they will want to win the league even more so after the mighty Kaunus dumped them out of europe!

We will win it, but we wont * it!

i reckon that after the huns pre season theres at least 5 teams they dont worry and another 3 that fancy a go.. we'll benefit from other teams thinking" this is our chance of 3 points at ipox" and havinmg a wee go.. DUFC falkirk hearts for 3. so while WE nay scrape thro a few games we'll drop a lot less points against the rerst than them . so it could be all over by the time we're nursing our NY hangovers ..and then we can concentrate on the cl :).. anyone else have a drink at lunch time btw?

Were defo favourites but we gonna have a lot mroe games and their just gonna focus on the league this year really.
Youngsters and all in the cis cup and then a few 1st teamers for the scottish cup would be ideal

If the huns dont strengthen there midfield i think we could create quite a gap on them as they seem to look as if they dont know how to put 2 passes together & they dont captain unbookable to save the day till november

Think it,s a bit early to be saying that albeit the huns are pish but you,ve got to remember every team who plays us want,s to win .Also with the manky,s out of europe they are gonna want to win something .I almost forgot about all the extra help that mob will be gettin off McCurry n co.So no i think this season will be a challenge but we ,ll still win because with all that the huns are still *

Like has been said it will still be a fight between ourselves and rangers, us being the better team but handicapped by the fact we'll be coming back from mid-week away games and we know what Celtic are normally like after them.

I heard someone say on the radio that after 5 out of the 6 CL games we had home matches, can anyone confirm this?

I dont think we will walk it,but we are pretty strong favourites:50:
We need to bring in 2 or 3 players ourselves to strengthen the squad as I am a wee bit concerned about the depth of our squad if injuries strike.
The Huns are average, but lets not underestimate them.No points have been won or lost yet!!!

I honestly think the league could be a 3 horse race, 1st Celtic 2nd Dundee United or Rangers. All United need is some consistency and Levein is the man to bring that. The play good football and have bought a player in santanza or whatever his name is.

the extra games we are gonna play is going to be a factor but i think we will win it and celtic shouldnt take any chances and add some quality players to the team

Favourites to win it yes, walk it no chance!

You had better believe that with Rangers abject failure to qualify for europe before the season has even begun :icon_mrgreen: love saying that....

They will be up for it terms of going all out top spot in the league and will give us more of a challenge as many of you have pointed out we're now the team that will have extra games to play and that will put pressure on us.

It's going to be a fine juggling act keeping us challenging in all four competitions and I'm not so sure my nerves could handle more last minute dramas this season.

Yes I do think we can win the league by a long way. We need to get off to a good start and take 10 points from the 1st (beating the huns of course) 4 games. I reckon the huns will also drop points at Aberdeen which could give us valuable lead. That will put the pressure right on and hopefully a couple of signings will make their task even more difficult. I think the whole club are on a high at the moment and yes we can walk this league.

    Come on the Bhoys!!!
