Shaun Maloney rejoins Celtic

however, it could have been the lure of the EPL or MON that took him and not the insane theory of Villa being a 'Bigger' club than Celtic (which, if you think it is you need shot!!)

all being said... shaun now realises that he should have stayed put to further his career and for me, he's more than welcome to return and give it a go.
He'd be great competition again for Aidey, who himself has looked suggish in the opening game this season (espesh on Sat - pish!!)

Like i said he's proven, who do we have as back up? McCourt and Mizuno, they look like good prospects but Maloney is proven.


I can understand why people are angry with him, but sayng he wouldn't add to the team is ridiculous. He was probably our best player when he left us. I think it's easy to forget this with how well McGeady has performed. Two seasons ago just about everyone would have picked Maloney over McGeady, how can it be bad having these players competing together?

I reckon if you go to the search function and search keywords MALONEY and MCGEADY and posts from last year and older it would show a lot of people favouring Maloney over McGeady.

Sorry but this annoys me people who are starting to say he's * hes got bags of talent, he's not became a bad player over night.

 

Yes, would love to see maloney back. after those first 2 league performances this season we need someone with that quality to be pushing naka and mcgeady for those wide positions, and we know what shaun is capable of. Robbo should be in the center mid, not too convincing on the right seems to hold the ball up more than anything. Also Maloney can also play up as a stricker, as samaras has no hope of breaking that partnership up as he's just not good enough, i dont think mcdonald or jvoh see a threat there.

Is his agent not that * Willie McKay? If so then I'd forgive him but recommend a new agent.
I'd like him to play as a striker, like in 03/04 when he scored a few goals playing up front. Hes a good finisher, decent with both feet, links up well, thinking back to goals like Miller's second against Benfica a couple of years ago.

 

Why hold a grudge, would well take him back. As long as we get him at a good price tho.
