Im gonna be a * and give a Champ Manager answer.

Jota is the player who regularly gets tou news updates about plaudits. Gets 9's and 10's. But 40% of the time gives 6's... Even the odd 5.

CCV is the 7'er. Every game...7. solid as *. Until you lose him or he gets injured, and the replacement turns in 4's and you publicly humilate him to get him to knuckle down.

The way Ange plays... Goals will come. Thats how we do.
We have goal scorers all over the park. Kyogo, Abada, Gia, Calmac, Turnbull, Maeda, Hatate, et al... Christ even Jamesy.

If Jota was out long term it would be a blow to the entertainment aspect of our play. But we'd still score, and we'd still get by tactically.

If CCV was out long term, I'd seriously fear fir our title challenge. Its that simple. Welsh couldnt lace his boots. And * knows how Julien is gonna come back.

    CCV for me.

Let's be honest, it wouldn't be celtic if our defence wasnt a shambles at the start of the season.

CCV over the Lipizzaner Show Pony

I want them both, but Jota hasn’t done much since his injury. I believe he was brought back too hastily as we could all see he just wasn’t on it. He could be a superstar, but until his future is settled I think he will continue to be out of sorts (I sincerely hope I’m wrong and he smashes it from now to end of season).

CCV is a must, he strolls through games and once him, Starfelt and Russ Abbot cut out the suicidal Flangeball pish across the six yard line he will be a magnificent defender.

Its a hard one but because of our structure it would be Jota as he will have a much higher resale value.
Also i like to be entertained when i watch games and Jota usually does that.
It would be hard to attract talent like that to the club these days.

CCV's a solid centre half but Jota's a special player, would 100% take the latter.

A solid CB partnership is vital. We’ve seen how hard it is to get.

I just love Jota though. Proper bums off seats player who doesn’t come around often.

It’s like choosing between weans. Don’t want to do it but deep down there’s a favourite.

I'd go for CCV. We have had so many centre backs over the years but he seems to have it all. Power, pace, good on the ball, he's calm and composed.... seems to have everything and he will only get better. I love Jota, I want him to stay as well. If we win the league and get into the champions league, there should be no doubt about our ability to sign both. CCV and Jota on permanent contracts and a LB in the mould of Juranovic and you're pretty much there. More deadwood does need to be moved on, people like Boli, Ajeti, Barkas etc.

Jota. Higher ceiling, more sell on value. The type of player we don’t usually have a shot at.

    Jota.

Defensively we can already see what next season could be like without him. I also think he's more easily replaced with a little bit of scouting.

However, Julien, Starfelt, Welsh and lawal, could be sufficient if Julien returns as expected and lawal steps up. But a replacement if needed, shouldn't be hard

Jota on the other hand, he's a flair player and a different kind of intelligence that £6.5million wouldn't be able to buy you most days of the week now. That's an unbelievable bargain for a player of his quality. He adds shirt sales, exposure, gets bums of seats, wins us games and the resale value would be ridiculous!

Went for Jota simply because we don't have another quality left winger. If CCV left we'd still have Julien to come in. I think CCV is the better defender, and better in general, but Julien does offer more when we win corners.

I just don’t buy that. It doesn’t have to be as hard as our board often make it.

Jota as his goals and creativity is immense, CCV has been brilliant but we still concede too many silly goals from set pieces. If this team is to continue improving we need both players.

I love Jota, but if I were to choose it has to be CCV. Feel like we'll struggle to replace him.

    Jota.

You could stick 4 traffic cones in defence for all the importance Ange places on it :giggle1:

Seriously though I’ve always loved flair players.

You couldn’t get a rizla between them though.

    Jota

I agree with those saying we find it hard to get quality, reliable CB’s. But how many wingers have we had in the last 10/15 years of Jota’s quality?

A front 3 of him, Kyogo and Abada wins the league for us next season (and this one hopefully).

CCV has been class but I think we’d find it slightly easier to replace him.

Jota will be worth 3 times his value with immediate effect if purchased. Forward players always cost more and although I really like CCV £6.5m is his real value.

Jota is a bargain at the agreed price.

Having said that, if either were happening they would have happened by now in my opinion

You really think 6.5m is CCVs real value? I’d say he’s worth around 10m, if we get him for 6.5 it’s an absolute bargain from what we’ve seen this season.
