Eddie howe * it may very well be 1 of the greatest things to happen to us in many years.

Getting Ange instead of Howe is a proper sliding doors moment similar to MON over Hiddink.

May not be a self professed Celtic man like our last couple of mangers but by * does he get what the club and supporters are about.

    Love him!!

I have been "relatively" happy with the job he has done so far but have been a little sceptical of the absolute adulation he has been afforded from some of our support, to date.

    Until now.

That was as convincing a performance as I have witnessed in any derby including the hidings we dished out in Rogers time, and the 6 -2 and 5 - 1s.

He now has my full attention.

Thank you Celtic for giving Ange a chance! Aussies will forever be grateful to see one of our own on the big stage.

To Celtic supporters, enjoy! Let’s keep going!!

It was a pleasure to watch the team rip through Rangers. And I celebrated the result by reading the comments at the start of this thread way back when. I wonder if Ange, the clueless Aussie, has his UEFA licence yet? Ange, and Rogic, are about all we Aussies have to enjoy at present. Sigh.

I have to say, I've been begging for a certain type of footballer (especially midfielders) to arrive at this club. Even during Rodgers era I knew we could be better. This is it, this is the level I was hoping to see.

I've never doubted this manager and I'm so * happy for the guy tonight. He's taking us places.

    I know what you mean.
Rodgers and deila talked the game about high tempo and pressing, but inevitably happy to keep the ball and pass it around.

Ange has taken it to the next level here and the players he has brought in are sensational.

Hatate beside McGregor is night and day to McGregor and brown. The intensity and calibre is unreal.

Rodgers done it the first season, Ange has built a squad, in two * windows, that will make sure they’ll always do it

If Ange does win the league (and I reckon he will) - then we get the CL money and the squad gets strengthened again.

Meanwhile, players start to move on for good profits after Ange's coaching and development and more cash flows in...

More players want to come to the club to be part of it...

More trophies won and clear improvement in Europe.

That's how Ange will build his empire and his legacy will be to leave Celtic immeasurably stronger than when he joined.

I actually think ange will actually win us a European cup. Be it the prestigious brand new conference or the * europa, I can see it happening, something special is brewing. The teams not even built yet. Ooft.

I think this is all true, but Ange may be lured to the PL to give it a crack, and then finish his stellar career at the Greek National Team. Meanwhile, in Australia, we’re stuck with Graham Arnold.
