Players who pick up injury easy need taken care of. Forrest for example cant play every game or his hammy will go. Mcgreggor can play 60 a season and apart from mental fatigue his body doesn't give up, doesn't get injured. This will actually give him a nice we rest and he can come back playing qaulity again. I get the need to rotate, specially with the high intensity we are playing at, but McGregor has never been one of the players that looked to be on the edge.

He's gonna want to play last night and we want to play him to lead that side. No issue at all with it.
The injury he took, you can't account for that.

Couldve happened in training if we happened to finally practice getting on the end of crosses just one of those bad luck things.

 

Got to say this is a major balls up by Ange. Don’t think anyone really expected McGregor to play! Although Ange will say McGregor wanted to play your the boss and you need to make decisions even if a player doesn’t like it.

 

Feel like Hatate is as close to a ready made replacement as you could get for him anyway. At least there's that.

Don't think anyone will disagree, Ange has had 2 howlers with McGregor last night and Kyogo v Betis..

Don't really understand why our bench didn't include some Colts either, was raging that Jota was exposed to that mob too.

So when he says he's never had a fully fit squad to pick from, some of that is on him.

Still, all in all these mistakes don't detract from the utterly unbelievable job he has done in such a short time frame.

Not having him for the Rangers game is a real kick in the bawz. The injuries this season are worse than I can ever remember and we will have more come the 2nd of Feb.
