Bitton, Guchi and Hatate, with O’Riley in as back up there as well is much healthier than before. If Hatate keeps up the way he starts, us without McGregor may not be as disastrous as it would be previously. * huge blow though.

  2. Aye we do have some option's but I'm still no set on Bitton as a 6 (although he's been fairly good this year when in), Ideguchi looks decent but early day's and no sure as the 6...he maybe better pressing and doing his work a bit further forward harassing..

What you thinking Dev for now

    Bitton
    Hatate
    O'Riley?

Gutting because I really feel like Hatate was the missing piece next to McGregor. Two player's next to each other who had pace, energy, coidk take the ball in tight spaces, good on the turn, both press, both cover, both spot a pass..

I feel like that was the double act to go the season and have a stormer, getting the balance just right with Rogic, Turnbull and O'Riley as one of the other trio..

You're right though....Hatate I'm sure is the business. Let's hope him and O'Riley hit it off which I think they can....just leaves no much room error now if any of them pick up an injury..

Definitely think we should look ar a 6 month loan now. Surely that will be going through the heads of the backroom staff now also.

    I think I would have

    Bitton Guchi

    Hatate

Or swap Bitton and Guchi. No 100% sure, give Hatate the freedom just to wander around and create.

tbf it was only 2-1 with the team we had out can’t say it’s only Alloa could of easily went to ET last 10 we were toiling jus trying to grind it out. Would have been 2 of 3 barely got the game won

  7. Think the two behind lack pace as a double..

Would prefer O'Riley in as he seems to be a bit more mobile and an all rounder..

Would give us that balance as a lefty..

Think Hatate and O'Riley would work well together, it's just getting the other one right for now to go in behind them..

Liam Scales summing it up well saying we have lost our leader. Influence cannot be understated.

So before that 90 mins tonight would you not have been confident of beating alloa with literally any midfield without Callum McGregor?

Not really his fault for expecting players to be protected from thuggery.......

    This

Ideguchi and Bitton are both defensively minded players. Think we'd lack creativity with those two in midfield.

Didn't need to play and will prob be out for 6-8 weeks now. Joke.

  13. So our strongest starting midfield this season has been
    Calmac
    Turnbull
    Rogic

    All out now!

    Our strongest front 3 are
    Jota
    Kyogo
    Maeda

2 of the 3 out, and one just making his way back from injury!

    * me, we’ve had some * luck this past 2 seasons!

He is a huge loss for us, but people wanting the game postponed are mad. And also blaming Ange for playing him in a “pointless” game, he’s the captain and sets the tone. The cup game isn’t pointless, anything can happen in cup games. I still remember the horror against Clyde!

For the next game against rangers though, I still believe we have a strong squad even with every player we are missing.

    Hart

Juranovic(seems to be favoured), ccv, Jullien, Taylor

    Ideguchi

    Hatate, O’Riley

    Abada, Giakoumakis, Jota

And there is a few more that can come in if needed:

Ralston, Walsh, Starfelt, Scales, Biton, McCarthy, Forrest, Johnstone, Ajeti, Karamoko (maybe?), Soro

We have a lot of depth, and a big enough squad to handle these situations. If we’re lucky (I don’t see it) Kyogo might be back sooner.

Missing McGregor is a massive loss, his influence is huge and he’s (IMO) our first choice but we can cope without him and I still think we can win without McGregor, Kyogo, Rogic, Maeda and Turnbull. It’s actually mad to think about how much Seth we have now.

Anyway, my main point is, people need to stop panicking and there is no way we should be postponing any fixtures, I think we still have enough quality and depth to win.

Maybe mate, I’ve seen literally nothing of O’Riley yet though so can’t judge, honestly would consider Juranovic in there as well.

Thats the minimum time it takes for a fractured cheek bone to heal even with a plate being inserted

Is there any pictures of his face after the injury? Can only find the below, not really conclusive, although it does look like his cheek bone may be dented

That’s the thing for me. If he can’t be rested against Alloa then he simply can’t be rested. We’re not going to come up against any weaker opposition this season.

Hopefully Riley is the business and can step into midfield, but a massive blow regardless.

  19. Bit of a medical question, but couldn't he wear a protective mask? Or is that just used when a player suffers a broken nose?
